How to Make a Fraction!
o First you take the square
o Then you divide it into equal parts
o Color one part Red

Making a Fraction
o Now take the Red part and make it into a fraction
o Red parts: 1o Total parts: 4o Fraction of Red parts
to total partso 1/4 = red parts/total

Making a Fraction
o Let’s explain this a bit more carefully
o If the cake is cut into eight pieces and three are not eaten. What’s the fraction of uneaten pieces?
o Ans: 3/8
