Assessment and progress inlearning is an ongoing processthat involves the teacher andthe students continuously.

Developing and applyingliteracy skills through reading, writing, spelling, speaking andlistening are all aspects oflearning for students. Inmathematics the skills andlanguage that is learnt andapplied is also monitored forprogress and understanding.Teachers develop tasks and

experiences explicitly teachskills that support the studentsin their learning. The studentsare shown and have theknowledge and skills clearlyexplained and supported.Teachers assessments can bethrough observation, assessment tasks, and tests.Teachers will be monitoringthe students ability as a learner

in a variety of skills. Teachersare in the midst of workingthrough assessments, and thestudents progress to completethe first half of the yearreports. These reports give anindication of the achievementthe students have made, thework that can be done toimprove the students learning, and future goals for learning

for the second half of the year.

School will be closed on Friday8th June for Report WritingDay.
