-Analysis of crystal structures, particles morphology and catalytic activity of prepared materials by diffraction methods (XRD), TEM, RDE, RRDE and fuel cells test equipment. -Studies on the correlations between: preparation conditions, methods, structure and morphology of the materials – related functional properties. Modeling of the materials properties by computational approaches as the tools for better understanding of structure-properties correlations.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS Synthesis techniques: conventional wet-chemical methods, co-precipitation, sol-gel techniques, derived from the polymer-solvent systems, solid state ampoule synthesis. Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) preparation by hand-spraying, Dr. Blade and slurry-coating techniques, MEA hot pressing. Characterization techniques: X-ray Diffraction: crystal structure refinement by Rietveld method; line broadening analysis (domain size and microstrains) Microscopy: optical (common and polarized), scanning (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Spectroscopy: IR-spectroscopy. Thermal analysis: TG/DTA analysis. Particle analysis: size and distribution. Electro-catalytic properties: RDE, RRDE, half-cell test, single cell and stack tests.
