The flying season is here.. Hello Everyone

Finally we’ve been able to enjoy some warm weather and super flying. The recent Popham trade fair was very well attended and we had many EuroFOX owners coming along to see us, many thanks its always great to catch up. However, the National Eurostar and Eurofox Fly-In 27-29 April at Sywell didn't take place due to very poor

weather. Great shame after all the hard work that went into the planning. The Eurostar guys will be going to Sandown on the 9th June as rearranged. We are invited should anyone want to go.

We will have our exclusive EuroFOX flyin in August, see below in this newsletter, it should be a very unique and special one.

We are still very busy with not enough hours in the day to get everything done, Steve, Luke, Alan and Sue are flat out at Lukesfield, and Adrian is bombing around the country with inspections and the like. As for me, lots of paper-work for new aircraft, mods, upgrades, repairs and lots of demos to gliding clubs, customers and prospective new EuroFOX owners. Please send any contributions or suggestions to Roger, Adrian or Steve, many thanks.

Delivered, sold or finished

Deliveries and builds continue at a frantic pace. Since the Feb. Newsletter we have delivered a factory built 80 hp nose wheel to Mike Skinner (AKA Victor Meldrew) at Henstridge and G RONK to Phil Knowles (his second EuroFOX), a very distinctive colour with leather seats as well...

We also completed the silver Breezer for Mark Houghton, maybe some of you saw this aircraft at Popham? We flew it to his strip as a special delivery service, Mark solo’ d on it 30 mins later. Before the next newsletter we have 4 EuroFOX aircraft to build, G WINO to repair and a couple of 120hp gliding tug upgrades to complete, I’m sure there is time in there somewhere for a holiday….

“Dysoning” your aircraft?

We have been made aware that if using a Dyson vacuum cleaner, or probably any with a strong elec-tric motor to clean out your aircraft, you may experience an increase in the magnetism of the airframe. Maybe a corded vacuum would be better? Next newsletter August 18

Kabby being very well received

G CKAB (Kabby), our new 120hp fuel injected demonstrator tug, has been doing the rounds visiting 8 gliding clubs so far. Kabby weighs the same as a standard 912ULS EuroFOX and a 30% im-provement in towing performance has been established. Further more, with independent measurements comparing Kabby and a Supercub 180, towing the same DG505 2 seat glider on grass, with the same pilots, in sequence, it can be said that the towing perfor-mance is the same. This is a major step forward and offers those clubs seeking more power a new low cost option. We have 3 up-grades (912 to the 120hp) on order, expect another 2, and have 4 new 120 aircraft on order. We took a survey of all the UK tugs since 2011, nr of hours and tows, its over 10,000 hrs and 40,000 tows to date.
