Meetings of the Scientific Teams

Achievements in Strategy Planning and Media Consultation

Asbar Center has written a number of acclaimed strategies. Such as:

▶ The GCC 10-Year Media Strategy (2010 - 2020). This strategy was endorsed at the GCC Information Ministers’ Meeting in Kuwait in November 2010, at the GCC Foreign Ministers Council, and at the GCC Summit in Abu Dhabi in December 2010.

Strategies

▶ Saudi 15-Year National Strategy for Youth Culture (2015 – 2030). This strategy addresses important national issues such as: citizenship, national and cultural identity, national unity, extremism, intercultural communication, and work and productivity values. This project was supervised by a committee of fifteen governmental bodies concerned with youth issues. Nearly 200 experts, researchers and academicians participated in this project.

At the Abu Dhabi Summit 2010, the GCC Media Strategy was adopted

▶ Saudi Arabia Media Policy Asbar Center drafted an updated version of Saudi Media Policy to accommodate the new developments and advancements in ICT, and the new media landscape in the region.

Asbar Center in 2009-2010

executed a consultancy

contract with the Ministry of

Culture and Media. Asbar

Center provided media

consultation, projects and

proposals regarding various

issues and topics related to

the activities of the Ministry.

▶ The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Land – People – Civilization. This book contains nearly 800 pictures presenting vivid images of the great heritage of the pioneers who united the Arabian Peninsula and brought about the modern state of Saudi Arabia. The book also has more than seventy illustrations (tables, charts, maps). Each chapter involved more than thirty scholars.

▶ The Painters’ GardenThis book was published in collaboration with Arabies Trends in France. It is an illustrative book depicting the traditional architecture and colorful decorations of southern Saudi Arabia. The book delves deeply into exquisite examples with their simple forms, abundant significance and variance that reflect the region’s folklore and social environment.

▶ Brides of the DesertThis book addresses the evolution of Saudi Arabia’s architectural fabric and dwelling patterns, as well as the network of streets and roads.
