Definition: Scientific cultivation with responsibility to society, environment & law; according to the response of market; ensuing safe and quality produce with optimum economic result.

Some Highlighted points: •Child labour, forced labour, discrimination and harassment are not practiced or supported and working hours in alignment with the laws of the country•pregnant woman are not given hazardous work•safe use of Agro-chemicals•No burning of crop residues, waste or as a part of vegetation clearance unless in the case of endemic disease outbreak•Soil quality is maintained or improved and erosion is avoided by good soil management practices like field bund, across the slope ploughing, etc•Application of agrochemicals is strictly monitored along with safe handling, storage and disposal of chemical waste and empty container is done as per scientific recommendation

•Practices of IWM, INM, IPM and ICM are followed and preference is given to biological and physical measures. Inorganic fertilizers are used as per scientific/ professional recommendation and methods Scientifically appropriate Package of Practices (PoP) adapted as per local socio-economic conditions is followed All purchased seeds must have an authentic source Use 2-3 varieties of seed to maintain varietal diversification & mitigate the adverse climatic condition Records to be maintained at each level RCI Software and the Data entry, Report Generation Producers have to be twice inspected by the internal inspectors for the certification of the product 2nd & 3rd Party Assessment 3rd Party Verification (External Audit) must be done by independent and authorized Certification Agency Finally establish linkage with market for certified produce.
