story conveyed with moving images. • This is produced by recording photographic images with cameras, or by

• Some genres came into place as technology, and time grew. E.g. Science Fiction films are becoming more recognised, and technical, as technology is advancing. One globally known film is “Avatar”. The film breaks all boundaries, and the film itself has won numerous awards.

Drama• A drama film is a film genre that depends mostly on in-depth development of realistic

characters dealing with emotional themes. • Drama can also merge with other genres called sub-genres. These may include, crime

dramas, romance dramas, historical, and comedy genres.• From the early 1950s, dramas were made to educate the audience. They were relevant to

the current world. • Drama films are very important, because not only can they merge with other genres or sub-

genres, but people find it very easy to relate to, as some deal with real-life situations.

•It is also where production logos/specialities are also shown.

•I have chosen to use the opening sequence of the “The Pursuit of Happyness”. This is because I believe it is a very emotional opening sequence.
