IMPROVING LIVES THROUGH DIGITAL IDENTITY More than 1 billion people—about one-sixth of the world’s population—are largely excluded from society and the economy because they lack documented proof of their identity. Without it, they are deprived of access to the basics we take for granted, such as banking, education, health care, housing and voting rights.

To address this problem, Microsoft and Accenture are working together to support ID2020, a digital project using blockchain and biometric technologies to allow individuals to access and share their data electronically. This will not only make it easier to employ and be employed, it will support people’s broader welfare and economic growth.

TEACH FOR SLOVAKIA


Teach for Slovakia (TfS) goal is to improve education in Slovakia with vision to provide all children with

equal chances to succeed in their life through education, regardless of the conditions they come from.

Accenture has been supporting this organization since its beginning of their operation in Slovakia.

SCOPE OF SUPPORT

• Beside financial contribution, we finance tests used for

TfS Program candidates within the recruitment process,

support the selection process and participate in

recruitment activities.

• We also provide opportunity of summer internships for

TfS program participants.

In cooperation with Nexteria, within a project for real client, students (under supervision of Accenture

consultants) reviewed the operating model of ‘Zelená škola’ and provided recommendations to improve

its performance.

Naše mesto’ (Our City) is the biggest corporate volunteering event organized in Slovakia by the Pontis

#GIVING TUESDAY


#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving, fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. On

November 28, 2017, we have joined the global #GivingTuesday movement, which was brought to Slovakia

for the 1st time by Pontis Foundation. #Giving Tuesday launched the winter charitable season, offering

various opportunities for our colleagues to get involved.

• We have organized traditional Autumn Charity Donation,

during which we collected clothes and other useful items for

selected non-profit organizations.

• We have launched the Xmas Tree of Wishes campaign –

selected kid from foster home.

• We have organized Brown Bag Lunch with Teach for

Slovakia, thus we gave to this partnering NGO opportunity to

present their vision and discuss with our colleagues on how

they could personally contribute to the change of the Slovak

education system.

• We encouraged our employees to come with their own ides

how to help those in need (also providing examples).

• We used the opportunity to identify new Corporate

Citizenship Champions.
