GAS-OIL switch ON GAS position
DUAL 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 3P - 4P
Once connected the burner to the gas pipe make sure that there are no leakages.Air bleed the pipe through the pressure gauge fixing point and check the pressure with a pressure gauge.Turn the thermostats to the desired temperature. The burner will purge for about 45 sec. At this pointthe gas valve opens and the transformer ignites. Control the gas flow in the gas meter and adjust theneeded quantity of gas operating on the gas valve.Adjust the needed quantity of air, operating on the air regulator. In case of no ignition the burner goes to lock-out within 2 sec.In case of extintion of the flame while operating lock-out time is less than one sec.In case of lack or descreasing of air pressure, the air pressure switch shutts off the gas valve.
DUAL 5P
Once connected the burner to the gas pipe make sure that there are no leakages.Air bleed the pipe through the pressure gauge fixing point and check the pressure with a pressure gauge.Turn the thermostats to the desired temperature. The burner will purge for about 45 sec. At this pointthe first stage gas valve and the safety gas valve open and the transformer ignites. After en interval ofapprox. 20 sec. the second stage gas valve opens and in the same time the motorized air damper goes tofull opening position. Required gas flow for 1 st. and 2 nd. stage must the controlledon the gas meterand adjusted on the gas valves. (See fig.). Required air capacity for the1 st. and 2 nd. stage is adjustedoperating on motorized air damper (See fig.).In case of no ignition the burner goes to lock-out within 2 sec.In case of extintion of the flame while operating lock-out time is less than one sec.In case of lack or descreasing of air pressure, the air pressure switch shutts off the gas valve.
GAS BURNING
After setting the burner for oil, leave air setting as it is at motorized airdamper. Next, regulate gas supply to suit air flow to obtain optimal combustionperformance with gas and oil.Move switch to position "2" gas.

GAS GOVERNOR
The governor does not form part of the burner accessories and therefore thec-nical istructions on the adjustament of this component have been omitted. However it is important toknow the folling points :1 ) The gas pressure in the gas-mains must not exceed the maximum permit-ted pressure for the gonernor.2 ) Every governor is furnished with several springs, usually identified by theircolour, each allowing a range of setting. It is necessary to select the correct spring to suit the pressure required on theburner.

Adjustment of the initial output :Regulation of 0-40% of the max. output. The adjustmentin the factory is done with a medium initial output. The damper is completely effective. Changing of the ini-tial output : take out the screw A, take off the cover Tand turn screw H. Turn the screw to the right to obtain areduction of the ignition output. Turn the screw to theleft to obtain an increase of the ignition output. To findthe right ignition regulation tighten or loosen the screwH accordingly with on turn and start the burner. Check ifthe ignition has set off correctly, otherwise tighten or loo-sen the screw again accordingly with one turn.

WARNING : In order to have a correctcombustion and thermal output adjust-ments, these must be carried out togetherwith a combustion analysis, to be executedthrough suitable devices, taking care thatthe values are the correct ones and are inaccordance with the local safety regula-tions. The adjustments must be carried outby qualified and skilled technicians autho-rised by Ecoflam S.p.A.

DUAL 3P - 4P - 5POnce connected the hoses to the oil pipes make sure that there are no leakages.Air bleed the pipe through the pump operating on the gauge connection (see fig.). Install the suitablenozzle for the needed capacity. Turn the thermostats to the desired temperature. The burner will purgefor about 45 sec. At this point the oil valve opens and the transformer ignites. Control the pressure onthe pump( see fig.).The burner starts at the minimum pressure setted on the pump (see pump opera-tion). After 15 sec. the special valve on the pump increases the pressure up to the maximum choosen
level. Control the minimum and the maximum pressure on the pumpin orderto obtain the requested capacity on low and high flame. Adjust the neededquantity of air, operating on the air regulator. In case of no ignition the burnergoes to lock-out within 2 sec.. In case of extintion of the flame while operatinglock-out time is less than one sec.. In case of lack or descreasing of air pressure, the air pressure switch shutts off the oil valve.

versions. Check that gas pipe pressure is not higher than the maximum one specified for the governor, then operate through a screw driver fitted into the suitable seat as shown in the figure. Adjustmentsmust be made with the burner running, in function of the working pressure and needs of each installa-tion. The working fields are as follows: inlet pressure range 0÷100 mbar; outlet pressure range 3,6÷20mbar. Between the minimum and maximum outlet pressure there are approx. 60 adjusting screw’sturns. The governor is adjusted to an intermediate position during the tests.
ADJUSTMENT OF GAS FLOW RATE FOR SINGLE-STAGE VERSION (MB-DLE)To adjust the gas flow rate, loosen screw R and turn the regulator; to the right (screwing) to reduce; tothe left (unscrewing) to increase. At the end tighten screw R.
ADJUSTMENT OF GAS FLOW RATE FOR TWO-STAGE VERSION (MB-ZRDLE)Low flame: Loosen screw R and turn regulator P. To the right (screwing) to reduce flow rate; to the left(unscrewing) to increase. At the end tighten screw R.High flame: loosen screw R and turn regulator P. To the right (screwing) to reduce flow rate; to the left(unscrewing) to increase. At the end tighten screw R.
ADJUSTMENT OF FAST OPENING’S HYDRAULIC BRAKEThe adjustment procedure is the same for both single-stage (MB-DLE) and two-stage (MD-ZRDLE)versions. To adjust the fast opening’s hydraulic brake, unscrew cover T and through its upper side turnpin Q. Screw to reduce the opening speed; unscrew to increase. Screw cover T after regulation.

PRIMING AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE PUMP
The pump setting at 11 bar is carried out in the factory duringtesting. To prime the pump first of all start the burner and bleedair from the pump through the gauge port. If the burner goes tolock-out after the prepurging time due to lack of pressure in theoil pump, restart the burner.
NOTE : before starting up the burner, make sure that the return pipe is clear. Check that the pipes donot leak. It is advisable to use copper pipes. Do not exceed the depression limit of 4 mt.(0,45 bar) tokeep low noise levels. The return pipe must reach the same level as the check valve at the bottom of theoil tank..
