How to critique •Step 1 : Description - Make a visual inventory. Describe exactly what you see. •Step 2 : Analysis - Describe how the work is organized as a complete composition. •Step 3 : Interpretation - What is happening? Base on what you see. What do you think the artist trying to communicate? •Step 4 : Judgement - Present your opinion of the work’s success or failure & EXPLAIN why.
Propaganda is a form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position to manipulate human emotions by displaying facts selectively.
Graffiti was used as a form of expression by political activists. Ready-mades = completely unaltered everyday objects used as “art” The term found art describes art created from undisguised, but often modified, objects that are not normally considered art, often because they already have a non-art function.

Rotoscoping: is a technique where animators trace live-action movement, frame by frame. The source film can be directly copied from actors' outlines into animated drawings. Walt Disney invented both Storyboards and the Multiplane Camera.
The Futurists were also fascinated with movement & the capturing of speed or movements in art. Futurist Architecture is characterized by long dynamic lines, suggesting speed, motion, urgency.

Cubism is an early-20th-century avant-garde art movement pioneered by Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso, and later joined by Juan Gris. Picasso became recognized as the inventor of Cubism. The Demoiselles is generally referred to as the first Cubist picture.
