Clobear Broussard III (314) 494-4978 Email - [email protected] Clobear Broussard III IMDbPro.com Broussard III IMDbPro.com ARTIST’S RESUME/BIO As my background exemplifies, my strengths as an Artist and Martial Artist are a profound commitment to my projects, a strict discipline, and openness to ideas and influences in my work. From 1990-92, I designed and marketed a series of cultural t-shirt designs under the company name, “ “Strictly Roots n Culture.” From 1992-94 I worked as an artist/designer in a for hat , t-shirts and apparel embellishments in New York, NY (eg. Kacy's Positive People / A-1 Headwear / Mica Overseas Corp.) . Also served as resident artist and manager of Livingston Productions (Recording Studio downstairs) Street Level airbrush studio in Harlem, NY, during which I designed a series of backdrops for custom photographs for locals and tourists in Harlem. From 1995-2001 I worked with the Sleet Design company creating a series of t- shirt designs under the name Griot Trio. In 1997 I won a design contest and created a Veteran Memorial Mural for the St. Louis Chrysler Assembly Plant. I was awarded a Plaque of Excellence from Chrysler for painting this 85ft mural. In 2002 Chrysler flew me to Detroit, Michigan as a finalist in a nation-wide competition where I exhibited my work from 2002-03 at the UAW/DiamlerChrysler National Training Center. In 2007 I designed and created a mural for the Women's History Museum section of the Better Family Life Cultural Center in St Louis, Missouri. 2016 - Inducted into Action Martial Arts Hall Of Honor - Awarded Outstanding Achievement In Martial Arts . I founded JAM ASHANTI SCHOOL OF ARTS , design studio/and Martial Arts Dojo in 2008 where I created direct-to-garment, digital imaging wearable fine art. I also produced paintings and murals . In 2009 I taught art classes in airbrushing and mural creation, and designed backdrops and produced two murals for the Cherokee Recreational Center in St. Louis, Missouri . I began my Martial Arts training at age six under the instruction of my father and my uncle William Porter Sr. -7th Black Belt In Shotokan.I later branched out into Tai Kwan Do, Tai Chi And Capoeira .It was during my ten year residence in

I began my Martial Arts training at age six under the instruction of my father and my uncle William Porter Sr. -7th Black Belt In Shotokan.I later branched out into Tai Kwan Do, Tai Chi And Capoeira .It was during my ten year residence in California I studied Capoeira under Mestre Acordeon (Bira Almeida) Marcello Calviern and it was with Themba Mashama that I trained in Capoeira Angola.It was during this period I participated in numerous Capoeira exibitions throughout Northern California. I have taught workshops in Capoeira for the Phyllis Wheatley YWCA, And was commissioned by Better Family Life to do Capoeira workshops for Black Dance USA , for the Tandy Recreation Center, and also to serve as resident Capoeira instructor for the West End Community Center.

Instructor and training for 3rd degree Black Belt In Tae Ryu Jitsu under Grand Master Jerry Williams .  

ACTING EXPERIENCEAs a teenager I was a performing member of ACT Acting Children's Theater and also

participated in High School Plays such as "Guys And Dolls","The Night Of January 16th"¦" Kismet"-role; THE IMAN and "Fiddler On The Roof" as Motel The Taylor.
