Shifts

You must arrive on counter 10 minutes prior to your shift starting.

If for any reason you’re running late for your shift, you must phone so we can contact the client. A call or text must then be made to confirm you have arrived.

We understand that sometimes things go wrong so if for any reason (sickness or other) you can’t make your shift, you must let us know at the first opportunity so we have a reasonable chance of covering the shift and informing the client.

Whilst working within store you will be representing not only Artisan People, but the store itself and often one of their brands. This means you will find yourself reporting to, and working for, three different people and the rules and regulations of each must be respected and adhered to.

Once you arrive at your shift you must check in by sending a text to the duty phone

REMEMBER: The shifts are booked based on requests from the client and the store. Only you can be responsible for the amount of work offered to you through hard work, achieving targets and building strong relationships.

The Work Mobile  The work mobile is only used for:

The Artisan People Beauty Team to send emergency shifts/you to confirm by TEXT Calls in an EMERGENCY after working hours or at the weekend You are instructed to send and confirm your weekly availability by EMAIL

The mobile TEXT function is NEVER to be used to/for:

Reporting any illness Cancelling any shift Payroll queries General inquiries (You must call the office on 0207 813 21 21)

Duty Phone – 07815 921 607

The duty phone is to be used only for emergencies on evenings & weekends and checking in. General inquiries including queries about payroll and shifts will not be answered; this applies to texting also – we will not answer texts or calls over the weekend if it is not considered an emergency. For general queries you must call the office during office hours Monday-Friday.

SicknessPlease call us at the earliest opportunity. It is not acceptable to text or email. You must call and speak to someone in the office or call the emergency mobile. DO NOT TEXT us regarding your sickness. If you are unable to get through a message may be left and we will call back at the earliest opportunity.

BreaksBreaks are normally one hour per shift, this must be confirmed prior with the client. It is essential breaks are taken around the quiet periods during the day and any store guidelines are followed. Please do not go over your break allowance and ensure you are back on time.

Timesheets

Please ensure you only use an Artisan People BEAUTY DIVISION timesheet

Name – Sounds obvious but we are still getting timesheets with no name on Date - If you do not fill in the correct date processing your timesheet will take longer

than usual which may result in you not being paid straight away Client – This will usually be the name of the brand you are working for, e.g. Lancome.

Store – The name of the store you are working at, e.g. Boots. Location – The exact location of the particular store, e.g. Sedley Place(This information is always included in shift confirmations/reminders)

Total hours – This does not include your lunch-break. Unless pre-authorised by the brand’s area manager we cannot pay you for working over-time. Shifts are always 7/7.5 hours long

Sales – You must fill in your target and actual sales. This only includes sales of the brand you have been requested to work on. If you are not given a target you have a default target of £300

Scanning/photographing your Timesheet – If you are taking a photo of your timesheet it must be a clear picture with no shadows or creases - Please see the example filled in timesheet below. It must be sent actual size and not smaller as we cannot read them.

Sending your timesheet – Timesheets must be sent to [email protected] . Timesheets sent to other email addresses cannot be processed.

Timesheets must be received by 9am on Monday mornings. We must process payroll on a Monday by 12pm, so it is essential we have all your timesheets on Monday morning.  If there are any problems, it buys a little time to investigate and make any changes. Not sending in your timesheet is as bad as not turning up to a shift. If this continues we will have no choice but to stop using you. We cannot invoice a client unless you supply a timesheet.

SIGNATURES – It must be signed on the day by a department manager or supervisor from the store. If the signature cannot be read and the name not distinguished it will not be accepted by the clients and you will not be paid.

Comments – We have added a comments section so the account manager or department manager can add comments on your performance if they wish to do so. Obviously this Information is sent to the clients and bodes well for future bookings for you.

Any Incorrectly, unreadable, scruffy or unsigned timesheets with any Information missing will not be processed and you will not be paid. This is your responsibility!

Grooming GuidelinesWe have a strict policy on dress code for all staff. Remember you are representing Artisan People as well as the store and client. We will not tolerate sloppy dress in any circumstances.

Females

Black two piece suit skirt (no shorter than 3 inches above the knee) or fitted suit trousers. Black tights 40 denier must be worn with skirts

Black long sleeved shirt and black blazer Court shoes – black (smart, comfortable and POLISHED minimum heel height of 1.5

inches) NO BALLET PUMPS! Leggings are not permitted at any time Jewellery should be discreet and minimal. Permitted jewellery includes a watch, one

dress ring or engagement ring/wedding rings, a necklace and one pair of earrings (large hoop or chandelier style earrings are not permitted

Hair - clean and washed (long hair must be tied back for beauty shifts at all times). If hair is coloured the roots must be maintained

Make-up is required (lipstick to be re-applied after each break – NOT ON THE SHOP FLOOR)

You must wear make-up from the brand you are promoting whenever possible – NOT APPLIED ON THE SHOP FLOOR

Hands and nails - clean hands and nails (nails polished must not be chipped) Hygiene - please always be aware of personal hygiene (i.e. body odour) You must always wear a fragrance from the Account that you are working on that day

Males

Black suit with a smart black shirt Slim black tie Shoes – black (smart, comfortable and POLISHED). Boots, trainers, sports or casual style

shoes are not permitted Jewellery permitted includes a watch and one dress ring or wedding ring Hair - clean and washed (long hair must be tied back at all times) Neatly clipped, defined and well maintained facial hair is permitted; otherwise male staff

must be clean shaven Hands and nails - Clean hands and nails (nails short) Hygiene - please always be aware of personal hygiene (i.e body odour) You must always wear a fragrance from the Account that you are working on that day

Unacceptable Behaviour

Chewing, eating or drinking anywhere on the shop floor Applying your own makeup on the shop floor during trading hours Leaning against counters and fixtures, and slouching Folding arms or hands in pockets Chatting in groups or group meetings on the shop floor Paperwork on the shop floor Mobile phone on the shop floor
