On this magazine double page spread the questions are laid to the right side of the page and questions are easily

Identifiable as they’re colour coded as blue and answers from the band/ artist are in normal black text, this gives an

easy differentiation from questions to answers.

The questions in this article are direct and open ended questions, this allows a long answer to be given by the band or

artist and allows the band/artist freedom of speech about the topic or question asked. Also, the questions e.g. “So is

he a band member now?” These questions require prior knowledge of the band before the interview its self so your

able to ask the band or artist questions about their past or current songs/style etc.

Also, open ended questions allow a following a calm and fun conversation allowing both the interviewer and the

band/artist to feel more calm and give more relaxed answers and allowing freedom of choice with answers and allow

answers to flow on to other questions allowing a more informative and exciting interview for the reader.

Finally, the interview in this article also asked personal/ related questions to their previous answers to find more

information but also this requires more prior knowledge and allowing the interviewer to get much more personal

answers for a more enjoyable read for the target audience.

therefore allowing easy differentiation from questions and answers, this also allows a more enjoyable and easy

read.

The questions asked in this interview are again also personal questions about the band and the making of their

new album, this again requires previous knowledge prior to the interview its self so we know exactly what to ask

questions on and also makes it easier and more relatable for the band/ artist to answer and allows a much

longer answer and more personal information.

The questions are also open ended questions, this allows long answers and gives the reader more personal

information and by using prior knowledge we are able to emphasise and get more information out of the band or

artist and it makes the reader/ target audience feel as though their interviewing them and especially if the reader

On this Double Page spread interview article, the questions are again emphasised in red texts, which fits

within the Kerrang house style of the magazine and colour scheme. Also at the beginning of the interview the

interviewer immediately addresses the band by saying “Hello, Hawk Eyes” this immediately addresses the

band and also sets up the polite conversation to have with the band /artist.

Again, the questions are set to be open ended these style questions allow the band/ artist to flow on with

their answers and allows a long detailed answer to be said and generates a flowing conversation between

the interviewer and the band/ artist.

Questions such as “Hello Hawkeyes, So what stage are you with the new album?” are polite, and are most

definitely going to get information and details from the band/ artist that the reader and target audience would

like to find out, and also generate a good conversation rather than a pressured interview, by making the

band/artist calm this will generate best responses and longer responses.

their opinions and the bands fans, tis genre of conversation can also generate long and detailed responses

from the band/artist but also it can allow fans and the target audience see what their opinions are and how

they truly feel about certain subjects. The questions asked are dignified and sensible and this therefore
