Final magazine article Grammy winners were left shocked when Faith Barns stole the country crown from Taylor Swift with the success of her new album and on-going tour. Is it time to say goodbye to Taylor and howdy to the new country queen in town?

Winning both country album of the year and best country song Faith left Taylor empty handed and stealing her fans at the same time, with us country lovers out there left obsessed with her country folk, and catchy country pop music. On the album Dirt road diary, released March 19, 2013, the new cowgirl in town co-writes songs of stories of challenges and setbacks faced by men and women who struggle with their surroundings.

In the past few years Faith Barns 20, has quickly become country music’s darling, now making albums debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, selling 42,000 copies in its first week also entering at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. I’d say shes come a long way from being in the background as a backup singer for Rodney Foster into this now kick ass country queen. She just needs to keep following her arrow up to the top.

With big plans for the future Faith takes her tour to America, leaving us Brits going wild and wanting more ‘’her vocals were flawless her band were outstanding and it was so enjoyable to go and see a show that was all about the music, and that actually delivered’’ this UK Faith Barns fan continues to say “she was feeling every word she sang. I cannot wait until she comes back again, I would recommend her show to anyone!”

Well if us stubborn Brits are left playing her hit singles, follow your arrow and merry go ‘round, on repeat we are certain she will hit it big in the country music loving nation of America this year.

In a recent interview with Faith we asked her when she first started strumming them acoustic strings.I got my first guitar for my 12th birthday. I always had the dream of playing to an audience and just living in the fantasy.

Well you've certainly got there with such a successful UK tour. Just took album number 4 to get you off that rocky path.Ha-ha yeah no more smiley tunes with embarrassing titles like sweet prairie muffin. I think its best they stay hidden in the past for country music’s sake.

There some future music that we most certainly don’t want staying hidden, the yet to be released tracks with Katy Perry! Yes we've been recording in the studio together. We both brought our ideas together producing a Dorothy wizard of Oz twist for the love of a tin man with no heart. I can’t wait for you’ll to hear it!

Neither can us all at the office. Is there any artist that you are hoping to work with in the future?

I would love to work with Tim McGraw after being so inspired by his music growing up, Carrie Underwood could also be a fun person to work with to try and bring some rock brought into by style.

Congratulations on being nominated for best female country artist of the year. Are we going to be seeing you at the CMAs this year then?

I wouldn’t miss it. I think it’s a celebration in its self to be nominated for such a huge award especially this early on in my career.

It is certainly an achievement. Your preforming too is that right?

I’ll be preforming the single follow your arrow at the CMAs. It’s one of the songs that gets the most reaction from the crowd on tour.
