PVC conduit is prohibited as a wiring method for patient care areas in health care facilities [517.13(A)] or in ducts, plenums, and other environmental air spaces [300.22].

The cut ends of PVC conduit must be trimmed (inside and out) to remove the burrs and rough edges.

(A) Secured. PVC conduit must be secured within 3 ft of every box, cabinet, or termination fitting, such as a conduit body.
