Room No. 6019Lucie & Simon, Silent worldLucie & Simon are young artists who create tranquil, lyrical photographic and video works capturing urban landscape and everyday life, and have won numerous international prizes in recent years. They received the ART OSAKA Prize at JEUNE CREATION 2013 last year in Paris, and were invited to this exhibition as the representing artists of JEUNE CREATION. As their first exhibition in Japan, they will present their recent series “Silent world.”

Including the installation drawn with sand exhibited in Documenta 10, a Hamburg-born artist, Mariella Mosler, presents new expressions, using different materials such as sugar and gum in each work. A Osaka-born artist, Rikuo Ueda, exhibited the wind drawings mainly in Europe and the United States since the late 1990s, and works based in Hamburg. I t wi l l be a Japanese-Germany exhibition of the two artists, who have the connection to Hamburg and work internationally.
