Robert Lee Littlefield, 80 of Stoneham, was born June 22, 1934 and entered into Heaven with his family beside him on Mon., May 11, 2015. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Tues., May 19, 2015 at the Sterling Berean Church with the Pastor Jay Littlefield officiating. Burial followed in the Prairie View Cemetery in Stoneham. Memorial contributions in Mr. Littlefield’s honor may be sent to the Robert Littlefield Memorial Fund in care of Jo Dell Northup, P.O. Box 87, New Raymer, CO 80742. Robert was born in Sterling to Milton and Nina (Hoyle) Littlefield of New Raymer. He grew up on the family farm and ranch southeast of New Raymer, which he took over when his father passed away in 1960. Robert graduated from Raymer High School, Class of 1952. On June 16, 1957 he married Lou Ann McEndaffer in Kimball, Neb. In 1962 they purchased the George Samber place and moved southeast of Stoneham. Bob loved the land, enjoyed seeing things grow and driving around looking at the fields. After a hard day’s work, he would work in his beautiful garden. He took pride in building up his cattle herd. Bob could pair up a cow and calf in a crowded corral and select a one-day old calf for next year’s 4-H project. Roping and riding Babe brought many hours of enjoyment for him. His love of sports, especially basketball, started young and continued throughout his life. He played basketball in high school, officiated town league, and supported his children, grandchildren and local athletes. He loved to strategize after games and many plays were reviewed using hot cocoa cups with salt and pepper shakers at the kitchen table. He will be missed along the Prairie sidelines. Music was a big part of his life playing in the family dance band, then with his wife and children. Mr. Littlefield played the saxo- phone beautifully. Lou Ann and Bob sang in harmony for many events, funerals, and in the car with the family. Their lives and music were based around their faith. Bob was a member of 4-H, Elks, Lions Club, the New Raymer Evangelical Free Church, and served on the Prairie School Board. Bob loved playing cribbage, card games and especially enjoyed beating the grandkids at Aggravation. He enjoyed attending fairs watch- ing children and grandchildren participate and seeing good livestock. He supported his grandchildren in sports, 4-H projects, State History Day, music programs, graduations, and weddings. Robert enjoyed holding his grandchildren and playing “got your nose” with them. Bob’s greatest legacy is his family, their love, honor, and support. He was preceded in death by his wife Lou Ann; parents Milton and Nina Littlefield, and sister Ardis Bazata. Mr. Littlefield is survived by his children Jo Dell (Del) Northup of New Raymer, Sandra (Bill) Everhart of Boone, Lynnette (Lanny) Weddle of Walden and Roger (Brenda) Littlefield of New Raymer; nine grandchildren Amanda, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Christopher, David, Austin, Devin, and Andrew and one great-grandson, Kaden; brother Milton W., Jr. of Redmond, Ore.; brother Lloyd of Fair Grove, Mo. and numerous nieces, nephews, family, friends, and neighbors.
