Aromatherapy and the Third Chakra

What does digestion have to do with personal empowerment and

prosperity?

If you don’t digest your life experiences, not only will the

digestion of your food suffer but you will not be in your personal power.

And Prosperity?

I don’t think personal empowerment is the only factor influencing prosperity,

but it is an important one.

If you don’t follow through with your plans, don’t create the connections

you need, don’t talk to the bank, etc., your plans may not materialize.

At the work place, it is not all that different.

If you don’t put your willpower into your actions, everyone will feel it.

The third chakra is in the center point of gravity of our body.

It is the center of our material existence.

It is not difficult to see that our whole culture has the third chakra out of

whack.

Many people have spent the larger part of their lives chasing after prosperity, yet most resources are in the hands

of a few.

Many people have spent their lives in a decent state of material comfort, but

it still never seems to be enough.

Power struggles seem to dominate most of our relationships, whether they

are international, corporateor personal.

Overeating is often a consequence of third chakra issues.

Obviously, the current financial crisis is a third chakra issue.

So my first suggestion for the third chakra is:

Let’s calm it down, let’s give it a break.

Real French Lavender from Provence is one of the best aromas to ease deep karmic

tensions in relationships.

German Chamomile helps with any inflammation of the GI tract.

However, if the inflammation has become so severe that stomach ulcers have developed, a particular bacteria

that is often mistaken for the cause settles in the stomach.

Myrrh Oil will not only kill the bacteria; it will connect your spiritual center with

your physical center.

You can take it internally, one drop at a time, several times per day.

All of the above oils, except the Lavender, are for people who tend to function in overdrive and burn

themselves out.

These are the pitta (Ayurvedic fire element) types, who cannot get

enough power.

Those people who worry rather than fight, who get bloated and

constipated, need to pacify their vata (Ayurvedic wind element) to balance

their third chakra.

Fennel, Anise and, in particular, Caraway can be very helpful.

Only if the third chakra is balanced and free of stuck energy, can you

start using it for more willpower and prosperity,

otherwise, it would burn you out.

Ginger is a good choice for strengthening the third chakra, but be very careful -- it is a very

heating, sharp oil.

You can complement it with other spices, like Cinnamon and

Cardamom. I also recommend Jasmine for the third chakra.
