Logo
MixedBerries Mint Orange
I drew this a doodle in a lecture (not graphic design) because I was bored and then I took it into illustrator just to see what it would look like. It ended up look good so I decided to edit it and use it as my logo for my tea packag-ing. Using this as my logo isn’t a cop out of where something looked good so I used it, when I was doodling it I was think about my tea packaging and the logo for the packaging.
I did explore other options for the logo which happened in the class activity in week 8. However I am an idiot and forgot to scan that sheet in before we gave in our portfolio.
The style of the name came after the week 11 peer review. Because I am not good at hand drawing anything I tried to ‘write’ the name of my tea company in the same way that I did the tea cup. I also tried to write it in cursive but it didn’t work. I chose to use this because it fit in with the style that I wanted, it can be read and it looks good.

I chose to have the colour pallet of each box individual to each of the flavours, purple for mixed berries, green for mint and orange for orange. I wanted the colour pallet to flow from box to box, therefore I have chosen different colours but the same tone. For example I am not going to have neon green and then pastel purple. The reason that I decided to have the text the same colour but darker than the boxes is because it clashes less than black or white does. The reason that I don’t want colours that contrast with each other is that is not how I want my packaging to feel like.
Flavours
For the flavour images my original idea was to take photos and then edit them in Photoshop to give them a blurry/hazy effect. However when I tried to do it Photoshop did not give me the look that I was trying to achieve. I then decided to draw the pho-tos in Photoshop. I did this by having the original image and then drawing over it in different layers. Having multiple layers allowed me to have the shadowing and highlighting within the image. Mul-tiple layers also allowed me to have more control over the colours and what they look like. By then end of the weekend that did these I was so used to drawing in Photoshop that when I was drawing on paper I made a mistake and automatically went to go ctrl z on my keyboard.
