Can you help us with Watering? With water restrictions now in place across Sydney we would be very grateful if a parent might be interested in hand-watering our garden beds 1 or 2 mornings a week before 10am?

5c Challenge: Week 3 results The class winner of this week’s 5c challenge is
1/2 Blue who raised $23.80. Congratulations to everyone in the class who will all each receive a Zooper Dooper for their efforts!
This week we raised a total of $88.00 and so far we have a combined amount of just over $260.
Remember, the class that collects the most 5c pieces during the entire month of August will be declared the Challenge Champions and receive a special class prize.
So empty your wallets of all those 5c pieces and send them in to school!
Toilet & Taps get an upgrade Arncliffe Public School recent conducted a Water Efficiency Audit using Sydney Water’s WaterFix service. The aim of the audit was to identify current water usage practices and cost-effective water reduction opportunities.
Following the implementations of the recommendations it is estimated that we will not only save in the cost of our water bills, but we will be helping the environment by lowering our water usage.
The report’s main recommendation centered on changing our student toilets from single flush to dual flush as well as replacing the tap fittings with spring loaded taps. In addition the project will fix leaks, install new bubblers, decommission broken/unused items and conduct minor repairs to one of our rainwater tanks.
We are excited to be embarking on this journey that will be part of Sydney Water’s drought response program to make schools more water efficient. The program will also help students be water-responsible citizens through the school curriculum.
