THE DUTIES OF STATE ATOMIC CONTROL UNDER THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA
112
Estimation situations on Nuclear Power Plant and adjacent territory based on data of the radiation monitoring from NPP.
Forecasting of the situation change based on the estimation.
On base of the estimation of the situation and forecast of the probable change granting the offers to Armenian Rescue Service offers about organizations of protection of the
population.
RISK ASSESSMENT Categorization of possible situation
Local damage
 In ANPP local-level damage occures.
Threat of local-level damage on ANPP is real (the reason: technological malfunction or wrong action of the personnel).
Threat of local-level damage on ANPP is real (the reason: external influence or wrong command from management centre).
Technological parameters come out of safe exploration mode.
ANPP technological process disturbing accident (the fire, blast) has occurred and/or there is threat of the external influence on ANPP.
RISK ASSESSMENT Categorization of possible situation
The General damage
On ANPP has occurred dangerous level damage.
Dangerous level damage on ANPP is real (the reason: technological malfunction or mistake of the personnel).
Dangerous level damage on ANPP is real (the reason: external influence or wrong command from management centre).
ACTIONS UNDER EMERGЕNSY SITUATION
In events of the damages there are two action zones on ANPP:
5 km zone - zone of pre-attack protective measures (ZPPM)
10 km zone – zone of implementation of urgent protective measures (ZIUPM)
113
In these zones the population notification is conducted, measurements of iodine preventive maintenance, sheltering and evacuation of the population, animal and material valuables are
provided.
THE OPTIMAL LEVEL FOR URGENT PROTECTIVE MEASURES INSTALLATION ON EMERGENCY BORDER
Sheltering - when in current two days possible to get the dose equivalent 10 mSv. Sheltering of the population must not be more than two days.
Evacuation - when during 24-hour period is possible to get the dose of 50 mSv.
Blocking the thyroid gland (iodine preventive maintenance) - when as a result of absorptions possible dose of the radioactive iodine for thyroid gland is 100 mGy.
Temporary overirradiation - if during emergency interference is expected of 30 mSv/month, and following five months 10 mSv /month.
Constant overirradiation - forecasted dose during one year will be more, than 1Sv.
