ARKANSAS NURSES ASSOCIATION103rd Annual 2016 ARNA Convention

“Culture of Safety: It Starts with YOU”

INVITATION FROM THE ARNA PRESIDENT It is my privilege to invite all nurses to the 2016 Arkansas Nurses Association’s Convention and Membership Assembly meeting. The convention is ARNA’s major ducational event that brings nurses together from across the state in a spirit of collegiality and scholarship. Nurses in various roles and practice settings made a commitment to their professional colleagues by submitting abstracts for presentations and posters. They will share their special expertise in discussing new and innovative practice roles, examining current nursing research studies, and providing clinical topics to meet the learning needs of participants, from the new practitioner to the seasoned veteran. We thank them for their willingness to advance the nursing profession as an evidence-based, caring profession. The convention also includes several special events which should not be missed. Join us for the Impact Reception, Thursday, October 27. The Convention also includes the Membership Assembly meeting to discuss issues and events that impact nursing and ARNA. Plan to visit the ARNA’s Exhibit Hall where representatives from various companies and agencies display products that enhance nursing practice. Please support these friends of nursing as they help us become aware of new technologies and resources to improve and facilitate nursing practice. The ARNA Board of Directors looks forward to sharing and celebrating this special 103rd Annual Convention with all of you. Brenda May, BSN, RN ARNA President
