Festival Rules We want you to have fun at A2F! Just please keep these things in mind: We do not allow Content over a PG-13 Rating. Please keep this in mind when planning Costumes, Cosplays, and Activities. We do not allow Live Steel at our Festival. The Term Live Steel applies to weapons that carry a metal blade of any kind. If you decide to carry a "gun" as part of your cosplay, realistic guns MUST have an orange tip. Loaded water guns are not allowed. Airsoft Guns must be unloaded as well. If you are found to have a "loaded" airsoft gun, your gun will be confiscated. We ask that you refrain from Vulgar Language and Behavior while attending A2F. "Play Fighting" is not allowed unless you are on stage during an event that calls for theatrical scenes. If you are seen "fighting" we will assume it is real and dismiss you from the event. Parents: we ask that you please accompany children under the Age of 12. This keeps everyone safe in a populated environment. We do not allow anything deemed Obscene to be displayed at any time. If an emergency occurs, we ask that you follow the guidance of the A2F security Team. No Alcohol or Drugs, nor anyone believed to be under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs is allowed on the premises. Cameras of any kind are welcome; however, if it is stated that a panel or event is not to be photographed or videotaped, please respect this. We have had problems in the past with this. Sometimes videotaping an event that a guest is involved in can violate the guests’ contract with their employer. We love our guests, and do not wish trouble for them! Any and all rules can be added to or amended at any time by any A2F Committee Member when they feel a situation calls for such action. Theft is not tolerated, anyone caught stealing will be handed over to the Police immediately.

5:00pm Eyeshine Panel Did you know that Eyeshine will be a guest at Konsplosion? Come and talk about Johnny Bosch's band and their tour dates for anime conventions, showing a few music videos and videos of their journey as an unsigned band (also having some fun discussion about the characters that Johnny has voice acted in anime). There would be a bit of free merchandise and signed posters available as prizes for those who can answer questions about the band/and or characters played by Johnny.

6:00pm Wish Upon 1,000 Cranes The crane has been considered a mystical creature in Japan for centuries, and there have even been claims that the creatures can live for 1,000 years. Due to this belief, many believe that when someone folds 1,000 paper cranes a single wish will be granted. These cranes are then strung together and placed outside. The paper of the cranes then begins to weather and wear away due to the elements. When the paper is finally no more, then the wish the maker made is sent to the heavens for it to be granted. After learning of this legend, attendees are invited to learn and fold their own origami cranes. These are then collected and strung together. What is the wish? It may vary from location to location based on the needs and wishes of people of the time. Usually, however, it is as simple as, “One more year of happiness for us all.”

6:00pm Wish Upon 1,000 Cranes The crane has been considered a mystical creature in Japan for centuries, and there have even been claims that the creatures can live for 1,000 years. Due to this belief, many believe that when someone folds 1,000 paper cranes a single wish will be granted. These cranes are then strung together and placed outside. The paper of the cranes then begins to weather and wear away due to the elements. When the paper is finally no more, then the wish the maker made is sent to the heavens for it to be granted. After learning of this legend, attendees are invited to learn and fold their own origami cranes. These are then collected and strung together. What is the wish? It may vary from location to location based on the needs and wishes of people of the time. Usually, however, it is as simple as, “One more year of happiness for us all.”

4:00pm Lost in Translation with Lisle Wilkerson A bit of a homage to the Academy Award Winning film that Lisle Wilkerson was in. In this panel, Lisle will give stories about being a part of the movie. Lisle Also does a lot of work as an interpreter/translator, and this panel is about that world, as well as being a good source of info for the many con-goers who are studying Japanese and /or trying to get a job using their Japanese Skills.

12:45pm Tokyo Ghoul:Let’s Go Home We will discuss theories and relations between ghouls and the ccg, as well as ships, and ideas for future episodes.

2:00pm The World of J-Idols Have you ever wondered what type of music lies on the other side of the sea, or why groups of girls get together to dance on stage? If so, then maybe you have heard of Idols. Idol groups, Japan in particular, is when a group of young girls bring together acting, dance, and music to create a new style to entertain their fans. MM' 15, Love Live, Momoiro Clover Z, AKB48,and BABYMETAL are a few that might just blow your mind. So if you want to listen to unique sounds, or just watch cute girls dance on stage, then this might be for you.

3:15pm Cosplay: How, What, and Why? Answering the questions or how, what, and why of cosplay.. we will have a powerpoint for these answers along with tutorials of makeup, wigs, and much more!

Sunday - Tea Party Room

12:30pm Tea Tasting w/ Anime Mom Join Anime Mom and her wonderful assistants as we sample various loose leaf teas. Enjoy a savory blend of exotic flowers, nuts , berries and spices. We will also discuss the proper technique for steeping and how to properly enjoy the full flavor. * Please be aware that some teas do contain Cinnamon and nuts*

2:00pm Wizards Duel A Full Contact Card Game! With a shared love of the wizarding community, we have created a brand new full contact card game called "Wizard's Duel". Think of it as rockpaperscissors for the modern witch and wizard. While it can be played as a tabletop match, our favorite method is in the manner of a true duel. The Duelist facing the Opponent, with or without Seconds at the ready, in case of sudden death or disqualification.

Festival Rules We want you to have fun at A2F! Just please keep these things in mind: We do not allow Content over a PG-13 Rating. Please keep this in mind when planning Costumes, Cosplays, and Activities. We do not allow Live Steel at our Festival. The Term Live Steel applies to weapons that carry a metal blade of any kind. If you decide to carry a "gun" as part of your cosplay, realistic guns MUST have an orange tip. Loaded water guns are not allowed. Airsoft Guns must be unloaded as well. If you are found to have a "loaded" airsoft gun, your gun will be confiscated. We ask that you refrain from Vulgar Language and Behavior while attending A2F. "Play Fighting" is not allowed unless you are on stage during an event that calls for theatrical scenes. If you are seen "fighting" we will assume it is real and dismiss you from the event. Parents: we ask that you please accompany children under the Age of 12. This keeps everyone safe in a populated environment. We do not allow anything deemed Obscene to be displayed at any time. If an emergency occurs, we ask that you follow the guidance of the A2F security Team. No Alcohol or Drugs, nor anyone believed to be under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs is allowed on the premises. Cameras of any kind are welcome; however, if it is stated that a panel or event is not to be photographed or videotaped, please respect this. We have had problems in the past with this. Sometimes videotaping an event that a guest is involved in can violate the guests’ contract with their employer. We love our guests, and do not wish trouble for them! Any and all rules can be added to or amended at any time by any A2F Committee Member when they feel a situation calls for such action. Theft is not tolerated, anyone caught stealing will be handed over to the Police immediately.
