Third and fourth grade children from the schools of Tempe will be present 2 days a week and form the beginner's piano class for observation nnd practice teaching. Both graduate and under-graduate students will have an opportunity to do some practice teaching and the graduate students ••• some creative work as well as the usunl written outlines of lesson-plans for d!\ily piano class work. The singing approach will be used by the teacher and children, but all other methods will be discussed and evaluated.

Piano c~ass work is a possible and practical career as well as n democratic and inspirational way of teaching children in grade schools where many, many children lack funds for private lessons. It is also an excellent way for a teacher to in­crease his or her income per hour of teaching. The class will comreno at lO:OOAM. For detailed information write Mrs. Quaid at Tempe. The Festival of Arts takes pleasure in presenting this piano recital by Arnold Bul­lock, distinguished member of the faculty of the Department of Music of Arizona State College.

We join today in the world-wide celebra­tion of the Bi-Centennial of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (born at Salz­burg, January 27, 1756; died at Vienna, De­cember 5, 1791). The program has been chosen with the purpose of representing some of the more important keyboard works of Mozart, showing the development of the style and forms of this great classicist whose music is still rich in meaning today.

The general public is invited to attend the several events listed above either on the campus or at the Phoenix Public Library Auditorium.
