[We believe the future for social e-commerce in the informal gray market is global & hyper-local]

Hyper-local social commerce is a non-existent field currently

Social commerce is currently worth $30b worldwide & $14b in the US by most estimates.

The online classified ad industry is projected to be $14b in 2015

OPPORTUNITY in a $10T informal marketNOTE: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, G+, Instagram have not yet figured out how to successfully let users sell through their respective platforms, and do not focus on localized social efforts. NextDoor is the closest thing to Area.social, but again does not focus on commerce or search.

Craigslist is boss• 50 billion page views/month• 80 million classified ads/month• 60 million unique “users”/month• $300m in job posting revenue

The online market trend for classified ads is based mostly on ancient searchable listings that amount to little more than ecommerce sites focused on vertical markets – with the exception being Craigslist.

How do locals let their community know they have something to offer easily, efficiently, & painlessly?Location based micro-entrepreneurs looking for additional income don’t want to spend the time creating a website and driving traffic, attracting a social media following, or dealing with spam emails. They rely on friends, family, and Craigslist to get the word out and attract business.

PROBLEM: HUGE INFORMAL MARKET, BUT NO GREAT SOLUTIONS CATERING TO IT ONLINE

Since 2005 Craigslist has been the primary solution for locals to buy and sell to each other online

1. Complicated social media is not a good solution for micro-entrepreneurs to advertise in their area

2. Communication via email is very frustrating for sellers and buyers

3. Seller listings are buried quickly

4. No trust between anonymous buyers and sellers

5. No real mobile solution with push notifications.

6. Buying second hand items from locals online remains painful and stressful for many.

1. CATEGORIZED AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC COMMUNITY BASED ACTIVITY FEED WITH USER SET PARAMETERS IS FREE ADVERT FOR MICRO-ENTREPRENEUR

2. SELLER CAN REACH THE COMMUNITY EFFECTIVELY (SEARCH + SOCIAL PROVIDES EVERY SELLER WITH HOT LEADS LIKE NEVER BEFORE)

• Leveraging Creativ Digital Media’s social media PR skillset and assets of 300k followers across various social media channels and blogosphere

• Craigslist forums and posting categories will give us targeted ads directly at our average user completely for free

• Hitting the streets and focusing on the tech savvy San Francisco Bay area for surveys, spreading awareness, and general street level tactics
