Technical Considerations
• Processing options – uses processing options for p4210 in combination with P42101

Technical Considerations
QuestDirect.org
Technical Considerations
• Each tab section is a sub form and can have different business views and options
• Tab stops across sub forms are very difficult
• Can’t preview or run on a fat development client, must generate to Java
QuestDirect.org
Technical Considerations
• Mixture of fields from lots of tables on power form
• Sometimes things that worked in local java did not work after package build and deploy to java server
QuestDirect.org
Conclusion
• There is a lot of power and flexibility in new forms
• User learning curve
• Complexity makes development more difficult
• With minor changes to fix things that don’t fit Stoner, it was a good decision to migrate to power forms
