RETREADING

Arctic™ Retreads are unique as they perform like new Goodyear truck tyres, with the same features and reliability. They are as reliable as new Goodyear truck tyres, offering a similar lifespan to that of a new Goodyear truck tyre. Goodyear Truck Tyres are designed to be retreaded multiple times, without any compromise to performance and reliability.

Another benefit of Arctic™ Retreads is that they substantially reduce operating costs for transport truck fleets. For any fleet, controlling operational cost is key to success. Arctic™ Retreads cost between 30 to 40% of a new Goodyear truck tyre. Therefore, by retreading your Goodyear truck tyres, you can increase the retread ratio compared to new Goodyear truck tyres and reduce the overall annual operational cost.

Arctic™ Retreads also have a positive impact on the environment. It’s important to ensure the longest possible lifespan of your Goodyear truck tyres. By doing so, we not only save costs but we can make a substantial contribution to conserving our environment.

Using Arctic™ Retreads means less energy waste, less consumption of raw materials and less waste of used Goodyear truck tyres. It only takes 20 to 25 litres of oils to produce a retread, which is substantially lower than what is needed for the production of a new tyre. Saving a casing to retread means less disposal of Goodyear truck tyres.

TrenTyre supported by Goodyear is a leader in comprehensive cradle-to-grave tyre management services, which can easily determine the most productive tyre solutions for any truck fleet, including the ideal mix between new and retreaded truck tyres.

In order to assist in achieving the lowest cost to the truck fleet, Arctic™ Retreads has a variety of different retread programmes. Depending on your fleet requirements, we offer stock retreads and customer-owned casing programmes.

A precured Arctic™ Retread is the result of an exclusive combination of casings, precure products designed to reproduce the physics of the new Goodyear tyre, Goodyear certified retread equipment and a certified retread process, to produce the most reliable retread.

Goodyear casings can be retreaded several times, provided the maintenance of the new Goodyear tyre has been done correctly. Thanks to superb innovation, Goodyear casings are ready for several lives. The inbuilt durability and reliability reflects the investment that Goodyear has put into the development of the new technology. New Goodyear tyre casing technology today is reinventing the future and giving truck fleets the possibilities for multiple lives.

The retread production process consists of a series of steps, with specific equipment used at each step. The benefits are obvious: we ensure maximum efficiency and build excellent truck tyres.
