Architecture of CAD Workstation :

The CAD workstation is the system interface with the outside world. It is defined as A personal

computer with its own computing power to support major software packages , multi tasking

capabilities and networking potential with other computer computing enironments!.

A typical workstation or graphic workstation consists of following hardware components "

A Graphics Terminal : The graphics display of a workstation is most important because the

%uality of the displayed image influences the generated designs. C&T, 'CD , (lasma are the

arious technologies used for the deelopment of graphics terminal.

Operator Input devices : These are the deices through which the user communicates with the

computer for feeding it with necessary information.
