PART 1 WINDOW VIEW DINING
ROOM
The picture on the left shows a
model of the dinin room in m!
coo"er! school pro#ect and
demonstrates the $iew out of
its onl! window% The dininroom is meant to &e the place
where &oth' the students and
the teachers' would ather
toether to en#o! the food the!
made durin the da!% Ta"in
this into account' I decided the
function of m! windows should&e mainl! to i$e a panoramic
$iew to the ri$er and to
recreate the wonderful outside
atmosphere% As the students
are pro&a&l! oin to ha$e
their classes in the earl! parts
of the da!' I thouht that thedinin room will &e more used
later in the e$enins' which is

PART ( DA)*I+,T A) DINING ROOM
In contrast to the dinin
room' in the "itchen' the
decision on the placin of
the windows was &ased
on more practical than
aesthetic approach% I
aimed for an e$enl!
distri&uted liht across
the whole space' i$in
each student appropriate
wor"in conditions% There
are ( series of - windows
each placed on opposite
walls' one of which is
facin the ri$er and the
other . the par"in lot'
where all the food will &e
deli$ered% There is morepanoramic /m lon

Althouh I was reall!
happ! with the $iew
from the placement of
m! window' the liht
comin throuh is too
&riht% It is wa! more
intense in half of the
room' than in the other
half which ma"es the
lihtin une$en% Despite
that' there is no lac" ofliht in an! part of the
room' which is one of the
positi$e aspects of this
particular desin%

ROOM
Ta"in into account the 2aws that the
pre$ious desin had' I decreased the
heiht of the main window with 3%4m
and made it dou&le la5ed% I also
added ( triple la5ed roof lihts with
&ars a&o$e each rectanular ta&le to
distri&ute the liht more e$enl! around
the space% E$en thouh the space is
more e$enl! lihted' the chanes we
insu6cient to reduce the &rihtness
due to the &i window%

After the last chanes' I reduced
the heiht of the panoramic
window e$en more' ma"in it
3%4m' and the width to /m% I also
placed it hiher a&o$e the round. 1%4m from the 2oor 7with
pre$ious 3%8m% This resulted in
creatin an e$en lihtin
throuhout the whole dinin area'
"eepin a panoramic $iew 7e$en
thouh not as impressi$e as the
oriinal one and ha$in lu9 le$elsaround 133 to /33 in the whole
space% It can &e concluded that
the desin of the room has
impro$ed from the rearranement
of the la5in area% As this area is
oin to &e used mostl! in the
e$enins' I &elie$e that thisamount of da!liht is a proper
solution%
