Field Verified Floor Plans

For most projects, it all starts with a floor plan. From ini-

tial sketches to demo planning to the final proposal it’s all

based upon the square footage and an accurate under-

standing of the structure. We think that’s a lot to ask of

information assumed to be correct. Through the use of 3D

imaging, Ragan-Smith is providing accurate Floor Plans

and Reflective Ceiling Plans that you need to ensure your

success.

SCAN TO BIM

Launching with an Existing Conditions Model

Many projects in urban areas are re-purposing existing structures. These type of urban infill projects present special challenges to architects and engineers. By scanning and converting that point cloud data into a Building Information Model (BIM), Ragan-Smith’s Reality Capture Group is enabling designers to launch their design processes in the exact environment in which they will be constructed.

Converting point cloud data into a BIM is a bit like working in Revit in reverse. It’s a skill set that few possess. Even fewer possess our reality capture team’s track record of years in this market. From custom homes to multi-story high rises, our Reality Capture Group has project experience in a myriad of built environments.

CONSTRUCTION VERIFICATION

As we increase the level of accuracy and specificity through the design process we expect more from our built environments. This means expecting more from those tasked with the construction of those environments as well.

Through periodic data capture during the construction phase, Ragan-Smith can provide verification that your structure is being accurately constructed to achieve your design in-tent. Through the use of 2D and 3D design models in conjunction with as-built 3D point clouds, we are producing easy to understand reports that are rich in visual communication.
