occupied office building. The building involved is on a U.S Navy owned property and involves high security

and intense damage control. The work area needed to be spotless after each shift (night) for the next day’s

work.

Mechanical Construction Control Representative for USACEJacobs - New Cumberland, PA - November 2012 to November 2013Inspected the Mechanical portion of the Building 2001 Roof and Mechanical Systems Replacement project at the DOD Depot in New Cumberland, PA. Duties included using Word,Excel and RMS data entry software programs to prepare extensive daily reports re: replacement of the roof,

electrical components and mechanical equipment in a 43 acre building.

Commercial Mechanical and Commercial Plumbing InspectorCECA LLC - Lanham, MD - July 2012 to November 2012Performed third-party Commercial Mechanical and Commercial Plumbing Inspections. Projects of note were:

Inspecting the construction of the new U. S. Coast Guard and Homeland Security

Facility (on a weekly basis); inspecting installation of a new energy-efficient heating system andDDC Controls in the U. S. Treasury building; as well as many other private and public projects in the

U. S. Capitol Building. Duties included: Creating daily progress reports, directing subcontractors, inventory

of materials, monitoring safety and quality control for the pneumatic to DDC controls conversion, and lighting

upgrades.

United States House of Representatives. My duties were inspecting MEP installations and enforcing safety

regulations.

C., Inc. - Upper Marlboro, MD - July 2009 to November 2009I managed the mechanical portions of five million dollar-plus public school renovations in Washington D. C. and surrounding communities. My duties included: Creating extensive redesign change orders; equipment and material acquisition; various accounts receivables tasks; and daily assignment of workers' responsibilities. I used "Computer Ease" software for mechanical contractors, Word and Excel to record all information.

Mechanical Estimator, Project ManagerTyler Mechanical Contracting, Inc. - Ijamsville, MD - March 2009 to June 2009Worked on management for a large renovation/addition at Sibly Hospital in Washington, D. C. I also worked on an estimation team compiling large, very complex mechanical and plumbing bids.

Project ManagerMadison Mechanical Inc. - Marriottsville, MD - March 2008 to March 2009I managed a large hotel project and did all material take-offs, subcontractor acquisition, submittals, ordering of materials, scheduling, value engineering and job start up for the project. I was reassigned to assume management of a multi-million dollar "problem" project that had been mismanaged for months. I successfully completed the management of the project and collected over $1,000,000 of undocumented change orders.

My duties included the take-off and ordering of equipment and parts, daily reports. I managed the day to day plumbing operations as well.

Blake Plumbing & Heating, Inc. - Portland, ME - January 1980 to February 2006I founded a Mechanical contracting business which grew from a one-man service work company into a business that employed as many as sixty-five plumbers and pipe fitters and operated for a quarter of a century. While my company grew, I learned hands-on all aspects of the mechanical industry; customer relations, marketing, and cash flow management topping the list. I managed several crews at once. My employees were at times spread out over Maine and New Hampshire at multiple job sites. I learned to be a no-nonsense boss. Although I had an office manager who performed all clerical duties, I was also actively involved in decisions regarding office management including human resources, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costing, job scheduling, cost control, and safety. The company specialized in the installation of entire mechanical systems in hotels, apartment buildings, large multi-unit housing projects. Other projects included, medical offices, hospital renovations, complete super market mechanical systems and tenant fit-ups. Customized database management software for building contractors, as well as Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Excel were utilized.
