    Something to ponder about

    ShramdhanaShramadana means Gift of Labour.

Implicit in this statement are tenets of service, cooperationrestraint and non-violence-the tenets Mahatma Gandhisincerely believed in and propagated.

Keeping up with ideals of Gandhiji, Aradhana Academyorganized Shramadana on the august occasion of Gandhi

Jayanti. The students of class VIII and IX, along with the entire

staff donated their time and effort in sprucing up thecampus and the surrounding areas.

The event began with the lilting prayer, RaghupatiRaghav Rajaram rendered by the teachers. It was

followed by a brief speech on Gandhji Jayanti by ourprincipal Sister Moly. She also informed us about

Guardian Angels Day which happened to fall on the sameday.

With the blessings from the guardian angel and SisterMolys good wishes the students formed small groups

headed by a teacher and went about de-weeding thegarden, watering the plants, cleaning up the litter in the

campus and sweepingthe adjacent road. In two

    hours the campus stoodcompletely transformed.

It was good to see somuch enthusiasm and

    energy in every singleperson involved.

In all the power ofcollective action came

    through in full measure.
