AquxUsing the refraction of light trought different me-diums the Aqux is a top that can be used as a bar shelf or table top. The moving water inside the tank causes light to attenuate and with a fade trough the ripple putting on display an unforgettable light show.

Materials: Frame - Polished Aluminium Made using pressure die casting to create the rectangular rods they will be gas-welded together. Filed for a smooth surface and polish applied to protect the metal from chemical/physical damage. Using pressure die casting pushes manufacturing towards Mass Production to break even for the setup costs of the moulds. Water Tank - Rippled Glass Panels made from Ripples Glass give of more fluid feel to the diffusion of light inside the water. Rippled glass panels can be purchased in most sizes so it wont affect production costs.The glass will slot into the aluminium frame and ribber insulation will protect from water leakage Backboard - Varnished Birch Just a simple board with Varnished Birch veneer behind the glass for aesthetics. Low cost - no effect on production.

Water tank: Inside the glass water tank will be filled with chemical treated water with glitter. The water will be treated to pre-vent any bacteria inside from enhabiting the tank. This will be usefull because the tank will be filled just once, therefore it wont be able to be opened again, hence the water inside wont go off and turn green. Mounting mechanism: The shelf will be held by four chains - one attached at each end in a rectangular formation. This will make the shelf quite mobile - that means the the water inside will move quite a bit. When the glitter in the water moves it will reflect the lights giving off a sparkling effect.
