A Note from Pastor Scott
Trinity News
Missions News
From The Pastor Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ,
I have been deeply moved during this season of Lent and I hope that you
have as well. This season has been extremely rewarding for me as the
Pastor here at Trinity. I have loved preaching on Jesus’ last statements
from the cross with my sermon series titled “Cries from the Cross.” I
believe the message he shared from the cross to those who were close to
him was something he wanted for them to desperately hear and it is the
same message that reaches out to us today. I hope that as we hear the
cries from Jesus they will draw us closer to Him and the understanding of
God’s deep love for all of us.
I have also loved our Wednesday night Lenten Family Study as we have
been gathering together as a church family and studying Adam Hamilton’s
book “Journey to the Cross.” It has been great sharing together in worship
with our Youth Praise Band, and then gathering to discuss this book. The
book has opened up many new thoughts and ideas for me. I love learning
from others and sharing those thoughts. I have loved sharing a meal with
our church family as well. It has truly been a family experience on
Wednesday nights!
Now, I am extremely excited for Holy Week and our Easter Celebration!
For me, this is the most important week as a Christian. It brings together
everything that Jesus lived for here on earth and leads us into the life,
death and resurrection of our Savior.
Our ministry team is excited to share with you very meaningful services
during Holy Week. We will start of our Holy Week services on Palm Sunday
and take a look at the last cry Jesus shares from the cross when he cried
out, “Father, Into Your hands, I Commend my Spirit.” On Maundy Thursday
we will share together in a Foot-Washing ceremony & Holy Communion
and remember that night when Jesus was with his disciples in the Upper
Room. On Good Friday we will share the “Stations of the Cross” in a
moving drama about Jesus carrying his cross to Calvary. And on Easter
Morning we will celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord.
It is my hope that you will be able to come and celebrate with us during
this moving time of the year and allowing God to move you into a closer
relationship with Jesus!
God Bless,
Pastor Scott

SAFE SANCTUARY TRAINING
At the 2014 Annual Conference, the West Ohio Conference voted that all churches in the conference must have a Safe Sanctuary Policy. Trinity already has a policy in place, but there are some components of the policy that need updated and some procedures we must follow as a church to keep our children and youth safe. One of the policies is that if an individual has any contact with children they must go through a training program, and also depending on the situation they may also need a background check. We hope that you‘re understanding of these policies and procedures are important for the whole church body, but most importantly for the protection of our children. Training dates will be posted at a later date and we appreciate your willingness to help in every manner to make this policy an important part of our daily life here at Trinity.
Hospitality Committee Needs Your Help
This Committee is always looking for volunteers to help in various ways. One of the most important ministries this
committee does is funeral dinners along with other special events or activities. There are several ways you can help! You can
donate food, work during a funeral dinner, donate money or even help by becoming the Chairman or Co-Chairman of this
committee. If you would love to help and become a part of this committee, please contact Carol Williams or the church office.
All In The Family
Trinity has been selected as one of eight churches
in our district to participate in this conference
ministry opportunity that takes a look at our
family ministries starting in January. All in the
Family was developed to equip churches in
leading dynamic children, youth and family
ministries and focuses on developing leadership
skills, teaching best ministry practices, and
implementing policies and procedures. If you have
a heart for the families along with the children and
youth of our church and would like to become a
part of this ministry, please contact Pastor Scott or
Josh. You will be hearing more about this ministry
throughout the year.
NEW MEMBERSHIP CLASS
If you are not a member of the
church and have been
attending Trinity and would
like to become a member,
please contact Pastor Scott or
the church office. A new
membership class is being
formed and the dates will be
published later.
