High Priestess Ladies, I really appreciate all your hard work and assistance at our installation. It was really beautiful, and I must say you are all great officers and I’m so lucky. I’m sure all the High Priestesses who have gone before me have felt the same way. Lady Jean Glover, PHP, thank you and all your ladies who assisted with our installation. I don’t know what our court would do without our wonderful Past High Priestesses. You all have been earning

stars for your crowns for many years now. My thanks to Lady Pat Bandhauer, PHP, for all of her assistance. We are lucky to have all of you, and we appreciate all you do for our court.

The reception was wonderful and I send many thanks to the Greeters and Clowns. You did a great job on the refresh-ments and I hope all those who attended enjoyed the afternoon, I know I really did.

My thanks to the Nobles who presented the colors and moved all our heavy chairs. Lady Barbara Hineman, PHP gave a wonderful presentation when she signed the Lord’s Prayer. The songs from Lady Tina Ashburn, PHP Lady Linda DuBois, and Noble Jim were beautiful. Lady Jackie Miller, I’ve always enjoyed listening to you play the piano and look forward to your being able to play again soon. Thank you for agreeing to do it again this year. Without music, the world would be a very dull place, besides that I’ve always believed that music is good for the soul and touches our hearts.

We have several fund raising projects lined up. They include a Luau, carnival, and a spring luncheon and fashion Show as well as the opportunity to own $500.00.

Princess A big welcome to our 4 new members of Sphinx Court. Please visit our units & clubs so you can decide which is best for you. I am looking forward to seeing you at our next court meeting on April 22nd. The dinner mystery theater was excellent as were the Uptown Girls. What a fabulous fund raiser to end the year! Lynn, you have had a wonderful year & I was happy to be a part of it.

Dee, I wish you a successful year. My last night as Associate Princess was wonderful. You ladies did a fantastic job of not only reaching my goal but surpassing it, not once but twice! A heartfelt thanks to each & every one of you. I know the Salt Lake City Hospital will be thrilled when they receive a check for over $5,000.00. I am looking forward to my year as Princess. WAOUM is fast approaching and I should have the packets for Tucson at the next court meeting. Let me know if you would prefer a mini bus as opposed to carpooling. See you next month.

Associate Princess Thank you for electing me Associate Princess. The Installation was beautiful and everyone looked so pretty. I will be announcing my Special Project at the April Court meeting. Please remember that underwear is always welcome at the hospitals and the little ones love the stuffed toys.

Court. Congratulations to Lady Dee, our new High Priestess and all the newly installed officers on a beauti-ful installation.

Our installation of officers was held on April 8th and all had a great time. Lady Ledith Padgett, PHP, PC in-stalled Lady Ginny Fain, Rising Smoke as Chief of our Tribe; Lady Andie Lacombe, Cat Squaw as Assistant Chief; Lady Pat Bandhauer, Huggy Bear as Secretary and Mary Lou Salyer, Buffalo Chips as Treasurer.

We meet the first Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Red Fez Room for dinner with the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Please join us at one of our meetings and think about becoming a member of our Tribe.

Sun Unit Our meeting will be April 12th at the Masonic Fellowship Center, 18810 N. 107th Ave. We start at 11:30 fol-

lowed by a no-host lunch. This will be the Official Visit of our High Priestess, Lady Dee. Welcome to our new members.

PHP Club What a fun time we had at all the installations, both for the Court and the Units. Congratulations to all the

new officers and Unit Heads. The next PHP Club meeting will be in September, with the date to be determined. I will post it in the next Chatter article.

Sphinx Patrol Spring has sprung and we’ve all been pretty busy wrapping up our old business and getting ready for another

“changing of the guard”. Lady Lynn’s term as High Priestess was outstanding and we are looking forward to an-other great year with Lady Dee at the helm. We congratulate all those elected to Court or Unit offices.

Sphinx Patrol’s installation was a nice occasion and we thank Lady Dorothy Joerding, PHP, for doing such a great job of installing us. I’m very proud and happy that we have a group that is growing and staying very in-volved with the Court. We want to encourage our new members to come and visit us and join if they like what they see. It is a LOT of fun and not as hard as I thought it would be – if I can learn, anyone can! Our next meet-ing will be on May 7th.

We will be resuming our “un-birthday” gathering in July. More info to follow. There will be three greeters going to Grand Council this May and performing with the Clowns. We are work-

ing on a skit for the event. We expect to have a wonderful time traveling with Lady Dee. I had a fun time visiting with the new ‘Egyptian Ladies’ at the ceremonial, and hope to visit with them more in

with a postage total of $49.09. This included Get Well, Sympathy, Thinking of You and Best Wishes cards. The cards were donated by Ladies Linda DuBois, PHP, Mimi Bohlman, and Trudy Mullins, PHP.

I would like to thank our High Priestess, Lady Lynn Hatch for asking me and PHP Linda DuBois to serve on this committee. Our Recorder PHP Linda Curry , PHP Carol Shepard, and PHP Bobbie Balthazor were of great assistance in sending information -- along with the mem-bers who also gave us information.

PHP Linda DuBois was truly a godsend to our Court during my husband’s illness and passing away. The love shared by members of our beloved Sphinx Court is unend-ing and much appreciated. Their friendship is remarkable.
