Musical:    Peter  Pan  Jr.  Rehearsals  for  this  year’s  musical,  Peter  Pan  Jr.  will  continue  to  be  held  on  Tuesdays  and  Thursdays  after  school  (2:30  -­‐  4:00)  and  will  be  held  in  the  gym.    All  cast  members  will  need  to  be  at  both  rehearsals  each  week.        FACTS  TUITION  ASSISTANCE  You  may  begin  applying  for  tuition  assistance  for  the  2017/18  school  year  immediately.    To  access  the  application  you  must  go  to  https://online.factsmgt.com/aid  This  application  must  be  completed  by  e  the  April  24  deadline.  Thank  you!    Camp  Indianhead  2017:  Parents  who  wish  to  receive  information  for  camp  and  bus  transportation  can  provide  their  email  on  the  sheet  available  on  the  Narthex  table.  Camp  dates:  July  9-­‐14  PLEASE  REGISTER  at:  http://www.islandcamp.org

 These  pages  need  to  be  done  by  April  8th  in  order  to  be  included  in  the  yearbook  this  year.    Thank  you  in  advance  for  your  help  with  this  project!!                  The  annual  Mt.  Olive  Spring  Cleanup  is  scheduled  for  Saturday,  April  22,  from  8AM  to  12PM  and  1PM  to  5PM.  Sign-­‐up  sheets  are  available  in  the  Narthex.   Outdoor  cleanup   -­‐  Trucks  with   trailers  welcome.  Please  bring  rakes,  shovels,    and   wheelbarrows   if   able.     If   there   is  severe  weather,   it   will   be   rescheduled  to  Saturday,  April  29.    

Remember… Boys’ & Girls’ Choirs: The boys & girls (grades 5-8) will be singing at the beginning of both services on Sunday, April 23rd. Children should meet the directors at 8:15 in the social hall.  All  students  will  be  dismissed  after singing in the second service.

Sporting  News   Track  Notes:    A  track  note  went  home  today  with  students  in  grades  5-­‐8  for  the  upcoming  St.  Paul  Track  Meet  at  New  Ulm  on  Saturday,  April  29.    Please  return  the  registration  portion  as  soon  as  possible  to  allow  for  me  to  register  each  student  on  line  for  the  track  meet.        The  Redwood  Falls  Track  Meet:  The  Redwood  Falls  track  meet  is  on  Thursday,  May  11.    The  registration  forms  will  be  sent  out  later  next  week.    Each  student  in  Grades  5-­‐8  participates  in  this  track  meet.    The  bus  will  leave  by  7:30  that  morning.    MVL  Sport  Camps:  Parents  may  also  access  the  updated  forms  by  going  to  the  following  website:  http://mvl.org/athletics/summer-­‐camps/    Bethany  College  Sport  Camps:      Parents  can  access  sport  camp  forms  by  going  on  line  at  http://www.blcvikings.com         Scarville  Olympics  Scarville  Lutheran  Church  is  once  again  hosting  the  Children's  Olympics,  scheduled  for  Saturday,  May  6th,  starting  at  8:00  AM.    For  more  information  and  forms,  please  contact  the  church  office.  

     

TEACHER  APPRECIATION  WEEK  IS  COMING  UP!!!!    Mt.  Olive  is  blessed  to  have  amazing  teachers!        They  proclaim  the  TRUTH  in  a  world  full  of  confusion,  and  model  gentleness  and  love  day  after  day.  They  are  filled  with  God’s  love  and  grace,  and  it  shines  through  them  as  they  LIFT  UP  our  children.        

 

May  1-­‐5  is  National  Teacher  Appreciation  Week.    During  this  week,  we  will  give  thanks  to  God  for  the  Teachers  we  have  at  Mt.  Olive,  who  instruct  and  LIFT  UP  our  children.    Parents  and  students,  please  take  the  time  to  acknowledge  your  teacher  with  a  card  or  special  note.        Here  is  the  teachers’  “favorites  list”  for  your  convenience,  you  may  use  it  as  a  reference  to  let  your  teachers  know  how  incredible  they  are!  -­‐PTF    LYA – Cincinnati, OH Sr. Youth Group: Start gearing up for this year’s trip to Cincinnati, Ohio with the Lutheran Youth Association (LYA) on July 27-30, 2017. SAVE THE DATE!

VBS 2017 at Peace Lutheran Church, North Mankato, will be Monday-Wednesday, June 12-14, from 9am-2pm. Our theme will be “Built On the Rock,” a construction-themed VBS! While our church building undergoes construction of our new addition, we will learn how

important it is to build our lives with Jesus at the center! Children ages 4 through going into 6th grade are welcome to attend. The cost is $5 per participant. Registration forms may be printed off the church website, peacemankato.com. There are only spots for the first 100 participants. Register early! You may turn your registration form in to the church office at Peace or give to Denice Woller or Kristen Lukasek by May 31, 2017.
