During the month of
May, Round Grove
United Church UCC will
carry out two important
programs - the Capital
Campaign for a new
Digital Church Sign
(seen above) and our
Personal Dedication
Program! The theme
for both is “Let Our
Light Shine!”
A few weeks ago, David
Sprinkle, Chairperson of
the Board of Trustees,
announced the start of
the Ingathering of
Large Gifts of $3,500
or more for the
Capital Campaign for
the Church Digital
Sign. The goal is to
raise $35,000 to pay
for and install a new
Digital Sign for the
church. This Sunday,
May 3rd, will be
celebrated as Capital
Campaign Sunday to
begin the Reception of
other Gifts and
Memorials for the
Digital Sign Capital
Campaign. The
commitments and
donations are asked
to be completed by the
end of May.
We will kick off our
Personal Dedication
Program on Mother’s
Day Sunday, May
10th. On Sundays, May
10th and 17th, we will
have testimonies shared
by members. Personal
Dedication Sunday
will be on Pentecost
Sunday, May 24th. It
will include completing
of Personal Dedication
Booklets and placing
them on the Altar of
dedication.
We will also join in these
Special Celebrations:
We will recognize and
honor our Mothers
during Mother’s Day
Worship and the
Mother’s Day Brunch.
On May 17th, we will
honor Wendy Littrell
with a Reception to
thank her for her many
years of service as our
Administrative
Assistant. She will move
to Missouri in June.
On May 31st, we will
honor Yvonne Warren
during the Monthly
Fellowship Meal to
thank her for her many
years of service as our
Nursery Worker. She is
moving to New Mexico.

This is a little prayer I found in my prayer book called "power prayers for your life". Feel free to use it in your daily prayer life.
I am loaded with benefits! Blessed beyond compare! You,
the God of my salvation, the friend to lay down his life for
me, the one who is with me in fire, flood and famine the one
who will never leave me or forsake me! Today is a new day
and you have benefits waiting out there for me. I began the
day and my walk toward you, leaving my burdens behind
and focusing on the benefits ahead. And when I come to you
at the close of the day, you will be waiting for me, at the end
of the path, with the good word.
- Patty Tarver
Men’s Fellowship

North Texas Association News Dear brothers and sisters, Happy Eastertide! I pray that you and your church family have been celebrating resurrection these past weeks! There is plenty signs of new life to celebrate in the NTA as well. First, camping season is fast approaching again, and our NTA camp, the Master's Workshop, is preparing 3 faith-centered camps for campers from 1st through 12th grade. Master's Workshop is seeking campers, volunteers, and your donations to support campers in need. Next month, many of us will be traveling to New Orleans to attend the South Central Conference annual meeting. If you have not yet registered, the deadline is May 1st and rooms are filling quickly! NTA Committees are also hard at work. The Committee on Ministry will be receiving documentation for candidates until May 26th for the June 13th meeting. The Executive Committee is also busy at work planning for the hiring of our next association minister. May 1st, registration will open for the 2015 UCC Southern Regional Women's Conference retreat October 16-18, 2015, at Sumatanga Conference Center in Gallant, Alabama. This promises to be a great opportunity for UCC women to retreat, connect, and worship. This year's theme is "Lord of the Dance." Stay tuned for more information. Sadly, my last day is June 7th, but you won't be rid of me that easy; I will be volunteering to teach another online iteration of UCC History and Polity beginning July 20th! Contact me to register! I'm treasuring these last days here with you in the NTA, praying for us all in the transition time, and looking to the risen Christ for the new life our faith promises will follow each ending. Rev. Anna Kreisle Humble
Brothers and sisters of Round Grove,
How blessed I am to call Round Grove United Church my family. Thank you for sending the flowers to my mother’s service. My family was blessed and it meant so much to me. Thanks to all who sent cards, gave me a hug and sent prayers.

“Let Our Light Shine”
We have heard testimonies from David Sprinkle and Connie Griffin about the Capital Campaign to purchase a digital sign. Large gifts ($3,500+) towards the purchase of the $35,000 digital sign has begun. During the Capital Campaign Worship Celebration on May 3, we will begin accepting other gifts and memorials.
On May 24, we will celebrate Personal Dedication Sunday by filling out our dedication booklets and bringing them forward to the altar. Let’s All think about how we can “Let Our Light Shine” through the giving of our time, energy and skills in order to deepen our Faith-Relationship with God.
May is a wonderful time to “Let Our Light Shine” through the giving of gifts to the Capital Campaign for the Digital Sign and by our Personal Dedication Program!
