Dear Servants of Christ,
It is an exciting honor to remind you that Vacation Bible School is just around the corner, and weneed your help. This year VBS will take place from Monday, June 11 – Friday, June 15. Eachnight there will be a meal from 5:00-5:25pm. The programming for the evening will take placefrom 5:30-8:00pm.
This year we are incredibly excited to see the church transformed into Promise Island, wherekids discover God’s lifesaving love through God’s promises offered throughout scripture.Workers in Hawaiian shirts, kids greeted with a lei at the door, a song comparing the sweetnessof God’s love to bananas, papayas, and mangos; this is going to be awesome, and we do not wantyou to miss out!
If you are interested in serving, we have two simple options for signing up. You could simplytear off the small form at the bottom of this page and place it in the offering or stick it in the boxhanging outside of the secretary’s office. The other way that you can sign up to volunteer is by
going to www.vacationbibleschool.com/fifthavenue. The volunteer sign-up page will take less
than 5 minutes for you to fill out but will be a world of blessing for organizing this week. Eitherway you use, you do not need to know where you want to serve. We will follow up with you totalk about opportunities. No matter your skill set, we will find a comfortable place for you.
For all of you wonderful people who are able to help serve these kids, we are going to have a bigVBS meeting right after second service on Sunday, April 29. We will all gather together for acarry-in meal, so please bring a hot dish, salad, or dessert to share. The VBS organizers willshare their plan and vision for the week, inform you on any types of preparation or serviceopportunities that are still available, and will answer any question you may have.
If you have any questions about serving or about VBS in general, you can contact Tracy Hinson([email protected]) or Jean Azbell ([email protected]). Please sign up tovolunteer by Sunday, April 22. Every year Vacation Bible School blesses the lives of theworkers just as much as the students, and we encourage you to step out and sign up to be a partof this wonderful experience.
Thank You,FACC VBS Team

How Can I respond today?
At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on
all issues. We believe that God’s Word is clear
concerning what a person must do to become a
Christian.
Trust that Jesus can bring you to
salvation.
Turn (repent) from the sin in your life.
Confess your desire to make Jesus the
Lord of your life.
Be baptized (immersed) in water for
the forgiveness of sins and to receivethe Holy Spirit into your life.
To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that
you come forward during our commitment song
at the conclusion of the Sunday message.
Baptized believers are welcome to become
members at FACC by coming forward on
Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior
Minister to discuss this further. We ask that
you complete a series of Curious classes to help
you better understand what you are committing
to as a member.
Core Values...Values central to the life, mission and vision of Fifth
Avenue Church of Christ are:
Christ-Centered Worship We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus
through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus oJesus through grace-based preaching and teaching &
understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy 3:16)
Church Health and Biblical BalancChurch health becomes reality when God's people seek
harmony & live consistently. We expect every member protect the unity of Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1
Peter 3:8)
Global Evangelism We are constant to our founding call to worldwide
evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is theSavior, Healer, and Soon-Coming King (Acts 20:27).
Fellowship and Ministry
After people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equthem to find a ministry based upon their strengths. Wewant everyone to serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthian
12:12-27) We also want His church to be the livingevidence of His love and power to the world.
Discipleship
We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth AvenChurch of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teachinyou that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him throu
a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see thethings you are taught actually change your lifestyle &
your daily decisions.
Social Conscience
We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic
diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).
OUR PURPOSE
WE EXIST TO …
Exalt God’s Greatness;
Evangelize God’s Work
Equip God’s People
Express God’s Love through Jesus Christ
OUR MISSION
“To Love God and Love People!”
