Mobilization and Deployment offers this 4-day training for Master Resilience to

better understand the dynamics of fitness, increase resilience and enhance

performance by developing the five dimensions of strength such as the physical,

A Certified Lifeguard Course is offered at Magrath Sports Complex April 22 -

26 from 9 am - 5 pm each day. Class fee is $350.00 per student, with a

discounted price offered to Active Duty Soldiers. This course is taught by Red

Cross instructors and leads to Lifeguard certification. A swimming skills pre-

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Class is offered by Army

Community Service Relocation Office class every Tuesday and Thursday for

Military Family Members who wish to improve speaking the English language.

surrounding community offered each Tuesday by ACS Relocation Readiness.

Cat in the Hat is coming to the McEwen Library’s story time to read stories

and promote literacy. He’s visiting as a representative of Literacy of Northern

New York. This event is for children of all ages. Parents are invited to stop

and talk to Cat in the Hat after the event if interested in helping promote

stories about Army wives at Fort Hood. She will make a stop at Fort Drum

between appearances at SUNY Jefferson Community College and SUNY

Canton College of Technology. Library has copies of this book available for

checkout prior to event. Ms Fallon will read for 30 - 40 minutes (one story) and

This scenario training provides “Key Callers” with a background to support

This class is designed to give clients the tools needed to identify sources and

symptoms of stress and how to handle these situations in a healthy and safe

5K Fun Run/Walks scheduled for April 24, May 22, June 18, July 17, August 14,

responsible and to manage finances with Army Community Service Financial

year of age an opportunity to sharpen existing or gain new skills to care for

their bundles of joy. Mom and Baby Palooza features Education Sessions,

Navigating the process of applying for Federal Employment can be confusing.

ACS Family Employment Readiness presents procedures and tips for applying

for Federal Employment. This free class teaches clients about benefits,

searching and applying for your dream job, and writing an effective federal

This workshop will teach you how to correct imperfections or blemishes on

your credit report and how to safeguard yourself from ID theft and what the

Employment Readiness Program has teamed up with Fort Drum Army

Volunteer Program to enhance networking and support for job seekers and

The BOSS facility has gaming systems, controllers, and big screen HD TVs. All

we need is you! Compete against the best gamers on Fort Drum while playing

the newest games. A Soul Caliber Tournament scheduled at Nash Blvd BOSS

Center on April 25. First place winner will win $150, second place $100 and

third place $50. No fee to enter. Open to Active Duty Soldiers and Spouses

Sponsorship is a Commander's program that assists Soldiers, civilian employees

and Families during the reassignment process, assists Families geographically

separated from the sponsor for duty requirements, and improves unit or

organizational cohesion and readiness. This training will include elements, rules

and responsibilities of sponsoring an incoming Army Family.

Join Parks and Recreation to use your mining skills at the Herkimer Diamond

Mine on 27 April. Trip fee is $15 per person and includes a full day of mining,

transportation, an instructional video, museum entrance,, and tools for mining.
