accident with Myles behind the steering wheel o her2003 Pontiac Grand Prix.  All our o the above mentioned names were

ejected rom the car as it went airborne or nearly 70eet beore rolling several times. Myles was criticallyinjured including a severe bruise to the brain.  Yet another good college buddy, aylor DeBruycker, was ortunately wearing a seat belt and received onlyminor injuries, but as Myles said to a very attentive andsomber audience, is scarred or lie with the memorieshe witnessed that night as his riends were scattered andlaying helplessly on the highway —one already dead.  It was a gut-wrenching story or not only Myles to

recall, but or those in the audience listening, as well.

He introduced himsel and accounted or what ledup to his orever lie-changing experience in which heunravelled his story beginning at the age 10 or 11 whenhe totally despised drinking.  But then he finally buckled to peer pressure his

reshman year o high school, having his first beer witha couple o riends afer gol practice.

“Tat’s the day when my lie changed,” he said, “mylie changed completely. I loved the eeling o gettingdrunk... everything just disappeared. Every problemthat you think you have just went away.”  In his sophomore year, he switched rom drinkingbeer to drinking hard alcohol, explaining that he cravedthe ascpect o how ast it would get him drunk. Ten hewent rom sipping to chugging, trying to get plastered

as ast as he possibly could, trying to make his problems

11 students “lost their lives” at the Glasgow High School’sGhost Out on Wednesday. Their faces were painted white withtear drops on their cheeks where they would wander the hallsof GHS. At an afternoon student assembly that afternoon, eachghost would read his/her own obituary before being blowing out

their candle of life and laid to rest in front of their tombstonesand their bodies covered with sheets by Valley County SherifDepartment personnel. Have you ever witnessed this in realife? If not, very eerie. Even though we knew these kids were

just going through the motions of “Ghost Out”....

disappear.Despite all that drinking throughout his high school

days, he excelled in sports including Scotty ootballand wrestling, and Reds baseball. He maintained goodenough grades to remain on the honor roll, was a two-time state champion wrestler, and two-time All-Stateootball player, earning a scholarship to Montana echwith plans to become a mechanical engineer. Afer all,

nothing had ever gone wrong in his lie thus ar.During college ootball practice is when he’d meet

Spencer Lewis out o Cut Bank, an all state ootballplayer and state champion doubles player in tennis orthe Wolves, and also the 2009 valedictorian o his class;the two o them would become best o riends.

“He was the unnest guy. Tis guy had a smile thatwould just light up the room,” Myles, a 2009 graduatehimsel, recalled. “he was a joy to be around.”  And, the partying continued on throughout hiscollege career.  “I’m a good drunk driver,” is what he would brag tohis riends, due to a lot o practice all through high schooldays which would make the stretch almost through his junior year o college. “Nothing will ever happen... it’salways been that way and I’m now 21 years old.”  “I’m invincible.”  And college lie was good. He even maintainedgood enough grades to be on the college honor roll.

But then came that dreadul date o Tursday, May3rd, 2012.
