Grateful
In my profession, it isn’t very often I find myself without words. But that is exactly where I find myself when it comes to trying to express gratitude to Larry Ballard for all he has done for Greystone. Transitions are never easy. Yet Larry brought a calm, certain presence, a depth of musical talent and passion, and a ministerial heart to help make this transition as smooth as it could be. I am grateful for his eighteen months of service here and for how wonderfully he and Jan immersed themselves into the life and ministry of Greystone.
Larry’s last Sunday as our Interim Music Minister will be April 26th. During the All-Church Breakfast that morning, you will have an opportunity to thank Larry and Jan for their wonderful work and time with us. Between now and then, I hope you will pull them aside and bless them. They will be missed, and we wish them well.
Thank you, Larry and Jan. While your ministry and presence here will be missed, I am grateful for how you have helped Greystone, and me personally, make it through this transition.
The end of one season means the beginning of another. Mike Eller will begin as our Associate Minister of Music on April 27th. His first Sunday will be May 3rd. Between now and then, Mike, his wife, Katie, and their children, Samuel and Karah, will say their goodbyes in Asheboro and move to Raleigh. I know you will keep them in your prayers as they go through this transition.
Thank you, Mike, Katie, Samuel and Karah. While the next few weeks might be hectic sprinkled with chaotic and dashed with a tinge of emotion, we are grateful for your willingness to undergo this transition and look forward to how our church family will transition in the days, months and years to come. Transitions are never easy. But we at Greystone have seen firsthand how worthwhile they can be.
Sean
During the All-Church Breakfast on April 26th, you will have the opportunity to say a word of thanks to Larry and Jan for all they have done over the past eighteen months. This will be their last Sun day at Greystone so please stop by to thank them in person or write them a note of appreciation. Thank you, Larry and Jan!
Wednesday Nights in April and May
Following Easter we will begin a new series of studies on Wednesday evenings. We hope you will join us for learning and reflection. New classes start April 8.

insights and expertise to help the group develop strategies and principles for all of life’s difficult conversations.
♦ Faith and Film (West Wing): Join us for conversation as we look for the sacred in the midst of a few classic and acclaimed films. If you would like to watch the films before the session (this would be helpful) please see the titles below:

Entertainment for everyone !!
The highlight of the evening will include the beach music sounds of Jackie Gore, original member of “The Embers” and composer of I Love Beach Music.
This year’s Inasmuch day of service is set for Saturday, May 2nd starting with a breakfast of pancakes at 8:00 AM. Over the day, you will have the opportunity to work on one of a dozen projects, some at Greystone but most out in the community. Look for more information coming through “Sign up Genius”. Or contact Johnny Glover at [email protected].
The weekday preschool is excited to be a part of Greystone's community garden. Our children will be helping prepare the soil, plant the seeds, water and tend our plot, and then harvest the food to share with those less fortunate. What a great opportunity for them to learn SO many
things!
We will also be going to visit with our friends at Whispering Pines again this month, sharing the Easter songs we've
been learning with the residents there.
Summer camp registration is underway! Details can be found on the church website, www.greystonechurch.org.
