Jesus Is Risen!!On this Resurrection Sunday, we greet one another with our hearts full with joy, as once again we raise our "Alleluia!" We are confident, knowing that our Lenten journey has led us to a place of spiritual renewal and recommitment. Our joy comes in seek-ing God's Will with obedient surrender of our desires as we strive for Holiness. Out of love God the Father sent His Son, Je-sus, to earth in a particular time, giving His life, death, and resur-rection for each of us. As part of the octave celebration of Easter, next Sunday we encounter Jesus through His Divine Mercy. Many people pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet as private devotion; we will pray it as a community on Sunday, April 8, at 3:00 pm. Since the year 2000, the Church has recognized this as a univer-sal Feast, and in order to complete this observance, we are to re-ceive the Sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion. For most, our Lenten preparation has permitted the reception of Rec-onciliation. We should do our own research and learn more about the particular Graces of this Holy Feast. Let us pray that the growth we experienced during Lent will continue throughout this Easter Season. And, that our desire to deepen our friendship with God will increase as we study Scripture, encountering Him in prayer and Receiving Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. May our joyful witness of God's love in the world invite others to seek Christ who longs to enter their lives. In the hope of Christ, may we live this Easter Season as a time of celebration of God's mercy and a true outpouring of the joy of His resurrection!!Michelee Kemp!
Solemnity of the Resurrection of the Lord By His resurrection Christ won for all who would follow Him eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Priests, dea-cons, religious brothers and religious sisters spend their lives and exercise their ministries as a way of witnessing to that new Life. Is God calling you to join their way of life? If you think so, call or write Father Norm Carroll, Diocesan Director of Priestly and Reli-gious Vocations (302-573-3113; [email protected]). Be sure to visit our website: www.cdow.org/Vocations
