Winter Festivals in Maine

There

is nothing like the first snowfall of the season to get a true New

Even

during early spring

(known to locals as mud season in the Northeast), there are interesting

festivals taking place in Maine.

As spring progresses and the weather improves,

bathing (however, not unheard of on an occasional April or May day),

of the state consists of smaller towns and villages that for the most

part do not have large-scale hotels.

Instead, in many areas you will find a nice

selection of quaint country inns and bed and breakfasts, along with
