Duncan, I will answer your question as best I can below, however, I have had a number of discussions with SCAP and they have been adamant that this needs to go through council and not them - however, I will let you handle that if necessary. DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE IN USE TO ECO HEALTH RETREAT The current use of the property is a general farm, stock and domestic use. The property is neighboured by two properties, both farms of similar size. On one side, the neighbouring farm is owned by ourselves (Martyn and Kerryn Manuel) and the other is a like-minded neighbour whom is very keen for our development to proceed. Being located adjacent (across the road) from the Onkaparinga National Park is perfectly suited for a small, quiet, sustainable Eco Retreat. The purpose of the Retreat will be to accomodate a small number of people who desire a location for rest, relaxation and natural healing such as a naturopath can assist in a short stay for any guest where this is relevant. Most stays will be 2 nights, but some occasions may see a guest stay for a couple of weeks. We will further compliment the ecological environment by adding sensitive timber Eco cabins and natural bush; and of native type. We will improve the buildings and property by removing any rubbish and scrap that has been present on the property for some time and replacing with neat, native flora, as well as natural pathways and fauna sensitive improvements. Our aim is to be as sustainable as possible as this forms prat of the Eco Retreat purpose and goal in natural lifestyle. Activities carried out at the Retreat will be; walks in the National Park, relaxation, meditation, and other recognised health beneficial activities such as massages and 'clean eating' classes. This will be a quiet, low volume venture, with a focus on peace, nature and ecological and physical health and wellness. This is not so much focussed on tourism as such, but more those who are seeking healing and wellness. I am happy to provide more information if that is required, please let me know. - Marty Manuel
