HAVE YOU EVER PARTICIPATED IN YOUTH IN ACTION TRAINING? IF YES, WHEN AND WHERE? No, I have never participated in YIA training before. This would be my first. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM PARTICIPATION IN THIS TRAINING? I expect to gain a new insight into the covered topic and further my knowledge about it. In addition, I hope to, by the end of this training, come out even more driven and inspired about acting (by myself) and improving my country’s state as it is now for younger people, especially those with less opportunities. I want to share the knowledge I expect to gain with other people in my surroundings and influence them to take a step into a different direction. Furthermore, I hope to meet a number of young and driven people, willing to share their experiences and knowledge in other to aspire each other. DO YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE OR HAVE YOU EVER WORKED WITH YOUNGSTERS WITH FEWER OPPORTUNITIES? No, I haven’t been involved in working with less fortunate youngsters in NGO organizations yet, even though that is a subject I am quite interested in and care about. I am planning to do so in the future, and this seminar would be my first step in doing so. WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION TO PARTICIPATE IN B.O.O.M. PROJECT? I was quite pleased to hear about this project because it covers the issues that I’ve been thinking a lot about lately. Since the beginning of this school year I’ve been more involved with NGO organizations and volunteering, hence I’ve started to be more socially aware. I want to use this opportunity to gain a real insight into the issues the youth faces today, and so, learn what I can, as an individual, do to influence a change in my own society. What I want to do is make a change that would last long term and influence other people around me, and I believe this would serve as a great starting point.
