About us: MTS – Marketing Tourismus Synergie Wien GmbH
As new organiser of the Schloss Hof Christmas Market starting from 2017, we would like to use the
opportunity to reposition the market as a unique advent experience. We have been organising the
Christmas Market Schloß Schönbrunn since 1994, where about 80 exhibitors present their
handicraft from Austria and neighbouring countries to approximately 1 million visitors each year. To
address the increasing popularity and demand for themed markets, we successfully initiated the
Easter Market Schloß Schönbrunn in 2003 with about 60 exhibitors per year.
What is important to us:
When organising markets, we put great emphasis on promoting handicraft as well as offering
personal service to exhibitors. We also focus on the uniqueness and quality of products as well as
a uniform and attractive overall design.
Concept:
The Schloss Hof Christmas Market will give market visitors numerous opportunities to interactively
experience the advent period, surrounded by the four cornerstones handicraft, gastronomy,
concerts and children’s world. The core points of the new concept are the following:
Promotion of handicraft - There is a limited number of booths available to artisans at a
special price for live demonstrations of their handicraft. Furthermore, artisans have the possibility
to participate at a special price on selected weekends only.
Range of high-quality and personal gift ideas as well as regional cuisine - priority given to
regional Christmas products
Comprehensive accompanying programme - handicraft demonstrations, children and
family world, palace concerts
Strong recognition value - differentiation from other Christmas markets in Lower Austria and
Vienna
Uniform overall design with a clear reference to Christmas and Schloss Hof (huts in their own
design)

Visitors:
With over 65,000 visitors last year, the Schloss Hof Christmas Market is enjoying increasing
popularity. Apart from families from Austria and neighbouring countries, a growing target group is
day tourist groups and individual travellers from Lower Austria and Vienna who wish to
experience a traditional rural Christmas. The entrance fee for adults is € 6 (reductions for children and
families). By paying an additional charge of € 7, visitors can also explore the palace’s staterooms as
well as various temporary exhibitions.
Location:
Schloss Hof, which is of great importance in art history, lies with its baroque gardens and Meierhof in
eastern Lower Austria, close to the Slovakian border.

The Christmas market extends over a large area (see plan in appendix): it reaches from the
Landstraße to the square between the orangeries (northward) and continues to the Meierhof
(Herrenhof and interior); to the south, the market reaches the palace’s courtyard (Arkadenhof).
Visitors using public transportation can take a free shuttle bus between Marchegg train station and
Schloss Hof. By car, it is a 45 minutes’ drive from Vienna. There are enough free parking spaces
available for cars and buses in front of the palace grounds.

I would like to book a table set in addition to my booth at € 20 (marquee set consisting of 2
benches and 2 tables).
Positioning request: The organiser is in charge of assigning positions. However, positioning requests
will be taken into account as far as possible.
Special price for artisans and artists:
To promote artisans and artists, we are offering a limited number of booths inside the
Meierhof at a special price (price on request) for live demonstrations of handicraft. MTS Wien also
offers artists and artisans the exclusive possibility to take part in the market at a special price
(price on request) on 1 to 3 weekends only. MTS Wien will decide, if one of these categories
(special price for live demonstrations OR for selected weekends) apply after reviewing all applications.
Special price for live demonstrations of handicraft: I am interested in the special price for
artisans and would like to offer a live demonstration.
Special price for artisans for selected weekends: I am interested in the special price and would
like to participate for (quantity of weekends) weekends. For me the following weekend(s) would

Booth concept
I will be offering the following products (please indicate as detailed as possible). MTS Wien places great
emphasis on the booth concept, which should follow one specified theme and include harmonising
products. For double applications (for Schloss Hof and Schloß Schönbrunn) diverse product
assortments and decoration concepts are required to distinguish the participations both
contentwise and visually. If you would like to apply for the Christmas Market Schloß Schönbrunn, please
indicate how your product assortment and decoration concept will differ from Schönbrunn.

Prices for outdoor booths include the erection of the huts, a uniform exterior decoration (hut
labelling, chain of lights and brushwood garland or the like), a light bar,
power connection (see power connection & consumption) and
exclude 20% VAT, contract billing (1% of gross amount), lump-sum
insurance and deposit (€ 500 gastronomy, € 300 other categories).
Costs for central cleaning of mugs in the washing facilities are already
covered by the rent for gastronomy.
Prices for indoor booths include a uniform labelling, room lighting, power connection (max. 1 kW)
and flat-rate power consumption and exclude 20% VAT, lump-sum
insurance, contract billing (1% of gross amount) and deposit (€ 300).
Power connection For the following categories the flat-rate consumption is included in the
& consumption booth rental (following maximum power connections possible):

For the following categories, the power consumption will be charged extra
according to consumption (following maximum power connections possible):

Terms of payment 1st down-payment: 40 % of the gross total amount plus contract billing

Terms of cancellation 1) Cancellation free of charge until 12 May, 2017

The organiser reserves the right to refuse exhibitors who do not meet the quality
standards or the overall concept. The decision, if your application has been accepted, will
