This seminar presents the current applications of PMC, MMC & CMC & their appropriate different technology available for fabrication.
WHEN FABRICATING components and structures from traditional construction materials, manufacturing is usually a matter of machining, molding, or joining material that is already solid and in such forms as block, rod, plank, or sheet.
When material and component are simultaneously manufactured, both designer and manufacturer should have a good understanding of how manufacturing conditions influence material properties, since there is often a notable processing–property dependency. In addition to working with an anisotropic material, the designer must also have a good understanding of the processing requirements of candidate raw materials and the specifics of potential manufacturing techniques to be able to estimate the final properties of the component

components must be designed with composites in mind from the onset of the design process. For this reason, the designer must have a good understanding of the candidate materials and must be well versed in the manufacturing techniques that may be employed.
