Aphasia Retreat Day Mission

· Participate in new or adapted recreational, leisure and therapeutic activities · Learn and share with others who are living with aphasia · Experience a full day event in an aphasia-friendly environment

· Adults with aphasia · Each person may bring one family member or friend

Activities during the day may include:

· Some accessible washrooms

· Lunch and refreshment breaks will be served in the dining hall

· Trained staff will be available to provide personal care assistance

· Parking is available on-site

· Smoking in designated outdoor areas

· Speech-language pathologists and other health professionals

· Students

· Personal care attendants

· Camp Coordinators

· Trained volunteers · Activities will be led by staff or volunteers with special skills (e.g. art, yoga and etc.).

· Health professionals will lead selected educational activities
