Apple iPhone Setup and Support

Apple has released version 2.0 of the iPhone firmware which now supports Microsoft

Exchange email systems via the ActiveSync protocol. This means that district users with

iPhones can now access their work email, calendar and contacts from their iPhones.

The new 3G version of the iPhone comes with version 2.0 firmware already installed.

However, first generation iPhones will need to be upgraded before they can be configured

to support the District’s Exchange email. Please see Apple’s website for more

information on upgrading. http://www.apple.com/iphone/softwareupdate/

Please note that the IT Department supports the setup and configuration of Exchange

email on the iPhone. Please contact the IT Help Desk if you need assistance with these

instructions. For questions related to other applications, iTunes, or the iPhone hardware

itself, please contact Apple support. http://www.apple.com/support

For questions related to cell phone coverage, rate plans, and costs, please contact ATT

Wireless. http://wireless.att.com
