Version 4

Dear Vendor,

Please find the QVC Performance Manual enclosed.

The manual defines the standards required for QVC apparel and home

textiles.

Going forward, it will be the responsibility of suppliers to carry out the

testing as specified in this manual at their cost. Please be aware that

failure to provide test certificates will result in automatic failure of

merchandise.

Please follow the manual carefully as errors are often both

time-consuming and costly.

Any testing must be carried out at a QVC preferred laboratory. A

summary of ‘preferred’ laboratories is listed inside the manual.

On submission of testing, please use the appropriate testing submission

sheet. The form must include either the SKU Number or Style Number.

Testing cannot go ahead without this information.

Any uncertainty concerning the Performance Standards included in the

manual must be clarified with the relevant technologist.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Yours sincerely,

Mike Roberts

INTRODUCTION

This manual sets forth QVC’s performance standards and test methods for various QVC apparel and home textiles products. It contains standard testing methods as well as requirements for various products, providing a summary of QVC’s expectations in terms of performance and compliance for such products. Vendors should be aware of QVC’s quality expectation level prior to negotiating prices, price commitments and order agreements. As such, QVC products specifications are provided to all QVC vendors. On our Vendors behalf QVC have negotiated the following global discounts from the testing laboratories listed below when testing is carried out to QVC UK Standards. Intertek 30% reduction from their standard price Bureau Veritas 20% reduction from their standard price SGS – China (all locations), Hong Kong, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam & Turkey 35% reduction from their standard price India (all locations) & UK 15% from their standard price Germany 10% from their standard price Italy or Spain (subcontract to SGS UK or SGS Turkey) Testing is not restricted to the above three testing companies and can be carried out by any Independent testing facility who are accredited to test BS/European standards. Note: QVC does not accept In house /factory test reports. All reports are valid for one year from the date of issue.
